Competition Programme Sarajevo Film Festival Competition Programme screens world, international and regional premieres of feature, short, animated and documentary films from Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, Kosovo, Macedonia, Malta, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey. As of this year the Competition Programme included four more countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and Moldova. The selection within this programme stands for the Festival’s devotion to discovering new talents from this region. Sarajevo Talent Campus becomes Talents Sarajevo New name, new logo, same event From 2014, the former Sarajevo Talent Campus will become Talents Sarajevo. The eight edition of the film talents based community will appear under a new name with a new logo, and will keep the similar format. The programme is launched in 2007 in collaboration with Berlin International Film Festival and Berlinale Talents. What? A networking platform for emerging actors, directors, scriptwriters, producers and film critics from 17 countries from Southeast Europe and Southern Caucasus. Why? - meet fellow filmmakers - exchange views with renowned film experts - learn about current trends in cinema - take part in workshops - enter filmmaking collaborations with fellow participants and much, much more When? The call for submissions will be open from March 1 - May 1, 2014. The 8th edition of Talents Sarajevo will take place from August 16-21, 2014.

Operation Kino Every year, as part of our MEDIA Mundus supported project Operation Kino, the Sarajevo Film Festival together with the Transylvania International Film Festival, the Sofia International Film Festival and the Istanbul International Film Festival select about 15 feature films each and take on a tour to the cinematically, politically and socially most deprived parts of our regions. In cooperation with Reelport GmbH, a number of participating titles are offered on the Operation Kino Video on Demand platform.
