Pure by Yahoo! A Light CSS Framework Pure by Yahoo! is a lightweight modular framework in pure CSS with options of combining components as needed. Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) technology is widely used for bringing uniformity to the look and feel of the various pages and user interfaces of markup languages like HTML or XML. Pure.CSS generates a set of small responsive modules to be used with web projects. It is best suited for smaller projects which do not require to indulge in the hassles of a full-featured framework but can get away with using only a few specific components which are available in built. CSS can further be customized to make it project specific and be used on top of the minimal Pure. In this way Pure avoids the problem of unused CSS, making it very light.
It is a very popular framework supported by most commonly used browsers like the latest versions of Firefox, Chrome, Safari; IE7+; iOS 6.x, 7.x; Android 4.x and licensed under Yahoo! Inc. BSD Components of Pure: Base This component is used for normalization and devising CSS rules. These rules are most commonly for headings, elements, images, links and most importantly for typography. Grids Pure provides a responsive grid to set and adjust the layouts for different screen sized devices Forms These components set the default styles, columnar forms, various input elements and their alignment is what Forms is all about.
Navigation The different menus like Horizontal menu, menu with headings, drop down menus are included in this component. Tables This module consists of the styles for Default, Bordered, Striped tables and other options available. Buttons The button component again includes styles for Default as also Disabled, Active, Primary and other custom buttons.
