MAD (museum of arts and design) is a creative space that recognizes craftmanship and focuses on the materials and techniques associated with craft disciplines. The design, acting as an extension of MAD, allows interaction to take place between visitors and artists. This creation of awareness for the process behind art allows for a different perspective. It seeks to open up a new kind of relationship between people and art. Not only do the galleries showcase its pieces but it does so in a way that the display mediums become art themselves. Therefore, the viewers look at art through art, and at the same time become art themselves. It’s a way to change the meaning of art and challenges how it can be perceived.
