LUDLOW HOUSE Ludlow House is a three-story residence in Indian Lake, NY, within the meticulously preserved Adirondack State Park. Meant to serve a couple, their Labrador retriever, and occasionally their extended family as a seasonal retreat, the design emphasizes the influence of the lake on the envelope permitted by the Park Agency while providing a quaint experience in the midst of the surrounding lake homes.

Commissioned by a young couple and their family of three children, the house revolves around an outdoor courtyard meant to provide a central shared space. The courtyard carves out views from the third floor study through the doubleheight living room and to the lush rear yard while providing all rooms with southern and northern exposures.

THE LENORE The Lenore is a five-story condo in Prospect Lefferts Gardens. The lot houses the client’s family home – the client’s siblings and cousins all grew up in the neighborhood. A nearby street bears the name of the client’s late mother, who purchased the lot decades ago and has been a contributor and leader in the community since. The project aims to pay tribute to the family and their legacy, drawing inspiration from the house. The facade is a scale shift that borrows from the neighborhood’s townhouses that have endured through many decades of change in Brooklyn. 2

The company currently leases half of the floors of the historic Wanamaker Building in Manhattan. SOUTHLIGHT SouthLight is a community-based design-build in Providence’s South Side. Completed in September 2016 and publically opened by Mayor Jorge Elorza, SouthLight has been actively used as an outdoor performance venue and an illuminating beacon for the surrounding neighborhood. Led by Aaron Forrest of Ultramoderne, the team planned and executed the outreach, design, and construction phases of the project.
