This thesis seeks to investigate and explore how the design of a space can act as a catalyst in creating efficient healing environment that affects an individual’s physical and psycho logical behaviour as well as offer a transition space to take the user/affected person by studying and comprehending the conditions of incarceration and its aftermath.

Thesis : How can thoughtfully designing our built environments aid in the alleviation of the world’s developing psychological problems while also providing a transitional environment?

It speaks of the volumetric exploration of various forms. It also emphasizes upon dynamism brought in a form through light and shadow. Elevation and depression of surfaces in an object are also a major aspect. It focuses upon the composition and overall geometry.

Basic Design:

It involved overlapping, scaling and rotation of forms to understand it's impact in the overall composition.

Composition of different forms were created following various principles of organisations that help in planning and designing a project according to it's program.

The surface of the branch was developed and internal spaces were designed according to the quality of spaces created.

The exercise involved volumetric visualisation of spaces through triangulation of a tree branch.

Play of light and shadow was inculcated using translucent surfaces.

It provides a platform to document exemplary architecture to enrich the process of understanding and learning. It gives an opportunity to experience and study diverse built forms. Related Study Program
