A decade that begins with the number 2020 is a copywriter’s dream, easily lending itself to headlines about seeing the big picture. And here at Sarreid, our team has donned a whole new set of lenses, determined as we are to be viewed first as your vendor of choice. In my new role as COO, my vantage point affords a 360view of a business that for more than half-a-century has been known for the exceptional—starting with the statement-making decorative accessories and objects d’ art on which our company was built—to our ever-growing collection of livable, luxurious furnishings for nearly every room in the home. As I see it, becoming more important to each of you requires focusing the line and making it easier to do business with us with product that is in-stock in our Wilson, NC-warehouse and ready for delivery. Armed with fullscale product development boards (we’ve been busy around here!), I’m continuing to meet with as many of you as possible, seeking both your input and insight on new style directions. Next stop, factories around the world, where we’ll be working with masters of every craft to set the stage for a statement-making Spring and beyond. Our new focus on keeping top SKUs in stock and ready when you need them is right in line with our renewed emphasis on the trade. Given my background in sales, marketing and operations for major brands targeting both retailers and the interior design community, the opportunity to strengthen Sarreid’s position with designers was one of the key attractions for me in joining the company last Fall. We are developing special programs to make it even easier for interior designers to work with us, and we look forward to being a valued partner.
