Q : What would you rate as your finest accomplishments? A : My enthusiasm for architecture does not spring from pure function. What is important in my work is emotionally moving architecture, design and ideas for the metropolis. This helps to achieve an unusual symbiosis of all functional disciplines for people, rather than just creating space. I have worked on many diverse projects – big and small. From train stations to universities, office buildings to residential towers, and even designed a kitchen and a chair.

Q : What prompted you to take up the challenge of working on a project in India? A : I am fascinated by the originality and the positive inertia of Indian culture with its impressive history and fairytale palaces. In addition, what excites me is the opportunity to shape the future of the world's most populous democracy, with architecture.

Q : What was your vision and inspiration for your creation? A : My vision was to give to the city of Mumbai a powerful and iconic symbol for its future. I am particularly attracted to the elegant character of this city, and this unique and exclusive location with its splendid views of the ocean. Water is an important context and plays a big role in my creation. Cities on the water have an emotional attachment for me.

Q : Do you believe your creation will impact the city of Mumbai and become a defining landmark ?

A : Many of my buildings are so deeply embedded in the consciousness of the city that you have to name only the building to the taxi driver - not the address.

Every architect refers to a new course of design based on the environment. In this respect, to prevail within a metropolis, it was necessary to create a contrast. To create in the skyline something that features specific conditions of adaptation. – Hadi Teherani, Architect

Q : Why did you choose to design a reflective glass façade? A : The exclusive façade emphasizes the grand vision for the tower and for the city, but it is only one element among many that enhances the architectural experience of living in a metropolis.
