RUGBY CALLING F R O M A FAR A WAY LAND

join

Message from Mr Oregan Hoskins, SARU President It happened in 1995 and then again in 2007 – the Springboks won Rugby’s ultimate prize when they lifted the Webb Ellis Cup, first in Johannesburg and then in Paris.

in the

journey

Francois Pienaar’s words after the final in 1995 rang true when he mentioned the magnificent support the Springboks received that year. In 2007, when John Smit’s men won our second Rugby World Cup, Paris was awash with people wearing green and gold.

Mr Oregan Hoskins SARU President

And that is what we would love to see in 2015, when the eighth Rugby World Cup is hosted in our sport’s birthplace, England. We’re very excited about our new venture, SA Rugby Travel, who has numerous packages available to ensure you don’t miss any of the action in 2015. England is only a direct flight away from South Africa, we all have friends and family who live there and this is a unique opportunity to support the Boks and experience the wonderful tradition of the game we all love. SA Rugby Travel will help you get there and all the necessary information is contained in this brochure. The Springboks are calling – will you answer?

Message from Jean de Villiers, Springbok Captain Rugby is a unique sport, we all know that and that is why we love this game so much. In sport, it often seems that it’s only about the team or the competitor, but as players we know we will be nothing if it wasn’t for the support from our devoted fans. Which is why I would like to direct a plea to all Springbok supporters – England is calling and we would love nothing more to see the Rugby World Cup stadiums flooded by fans in green and gold in 2015.

Jean de Villiers Springbok captain

England is easy to reach and very rugby friendly. It’s a great place to play the game and it would be even better if we had our loyal supporters there with us in 2015. We would love to see you there!
