ABOUT US

The team comprises of Siddharth Sudharm Waze, Abhishek Anant Naik, Saqib Riyaz Mulla Bachelor of Architecture Graduate with Merit list 2020 holders from Shivaji University Kolhapur.

We as a group participate in competitions and work together, inspiring students of architecture fraternity to participate in architectural competition and be in a zone of complete 'out of the box' manner.

As in college academics, we previously completed internship from as follows: Siddharth Waze at The Purple Ink Studio Bangalore, Abhishek Naik at Ingrain Mumbai, Saqib Mulla at Sudhakar Pai and Associates Bangalore respectively.

We as a group compete in probably all National and International architectural competitions and experiment our self and our possibilities to design what the world will need today to tomorrow. Architectural competition keeps us updated in this constantly changing architecture environment. We started participating in competitions from 2017 when in second year of B.Arch., were in our first attempt we bagged 1st Prize in Urban Designing at the Pune Biennale from the hands of renowned Architect Christopher Benninger and Narendra Dengle. Further we participated in many competitions such as the drawing board by Rohan Builders, Archdais, Arcasia ACAE, and many more. During our jury meets we meet and interacted with some of the

renowned personalities such as Sanjay Mohe, Rahul Kadri, Soumitro Ghosh, Bijoy R, Pallinda Kannangara, Marina Tabassum, Ernesto Bedmar and many more. The guides and words by them were much inspiring and appreciated.

Considering today's pandemic, the bus stop is design is dedicated to promote sustainability. We as

a designer can help people change their mind, make designer user and environment friendly. The initial idea was to design a bus stop which reflects the context of the city and also the importance of environment because bus stop is the space were people

from

all

over

gather

to

reach

their

destinations. So firstly, considering the functionality of a bus. A city bus has usually two to three doors,

two at the sides and one in the middle. One is for the people to come in and the other one to go out & the

is

used

for

physically

handicapped people. Similarly, three openings have been created in our design to accommodate the same and make peoples flow faster. Secondly, the form of the bus stop is inspired from the rich heritage culture of Kolhapur dating back to the 19th century was in most of the structures of the royal Chhatrapati’s we find the ten-pointed or horse shoe arch. Reflecting this into our design we have created an abstract form of the arch which visually appear to be arch from inside because of its diagonal connection. The Bus design incorporates used of landscape and bamboo as a sustainable environment

material.

design should be an experience to the people around the town.

“The design of a school leads us to consider the design as an open environment, an ecosystem

where children are not divided in section according to their age, a more flexible where children can learn according to their interest, talent and needs. Therefore, the long corridor distributing circularly arranged explode to become a great platform, a landscape

for

teaching

and

learning,

where

circulation and teaching space are diffuse and flexible. Function are organized according to their

affinities and the quality of the space they can share allowing new opportunities to emerge from the meetings of two programs. Topography, one of the

three main architectural tool in the design process, ground and surrounding fabric offering spaces from the more public to the most intimate. While the lower grounds are favorable for meetings or more individualized blocks, the highest part of the school allows a wide view on the interior landscape, having visual connection. Hence, the main aim was to create a secured space were students can interact with their growing colleagues and learn things within. A school is were all talent come together, so the spaces contributes to this thought and the design becomes a memory or a hub of learning mostly by seeing each other

and through interactions.

Migration of Labor in search of employment and improved livelihood is a common issue today. Labor

Migration is both Internal and International. Internal Migration in search of employment, has an impact on the economic, social and political conditions of the region both at the sending and receiving ends. About two out of Ten Indians are internal migrants. The labor migration is mostly male dominated, and there is a Signiant increase in the female migrants with the spurring hypermarkets, showrooms and

factories. The migration can be permanent, semi permanent, seasonal or circular. The challenges faced by the migrant labor includes their inability to

cope up with the diversity of culture, language, access

to

identity

documentation,

social

entitlements, social and political exclusion, housing and exploitation. Migrant Laborers are covered by laws and policies but some preclude the temporary migrants and unorganized sector. A construction worker, who actually materialized the designs on construction sites and is an integral part

of

the

construction

industry

often

gets

neglected. If we trace the architectural history, even though the architectural world has moved on from a hut to tall skyscrapers, the living conditions of workers has not evolved much.

Throughout the architecture history, we have been

concerning the facade treatment for a much pleasant visual impact to the public. But what pushes its own boundary now, is how do we make the

facade

more

than

just

a

static

vertical

architectural element.

WHAT IF, a facade can constantly react to the surrounding and forms a pattern of movement by itself?

WHAT IF, a “dynamic facade” proposal that could respond to the environment and minimize the

energy consumption and be sustainable.

Considering the overall subject and the background of the site we had a live case study. In which we experienced one of the most important thing i.e the people living their were so friendly and so good that they tour us their settlement and gave as much as information as they can. This behaviour changed our mind. So we carring this thought forward, we

also wanted people to visit this places and make them know that slums dwellings are not that bad as

So we took it as a chanllenge and though of making an iconic structure in this space which can catch attraction of people and people tend to visit the site and the same can be done to their thinking also. So, the main though evolved from changing minds of people towards looking at the slum dwellers. We wanted the design to be more friendly to the people residing there. So we though of building a space which can be built by the residents residing there and make this a structure “built by the people for the people”

The aim of this design is to bring the lost heritage

and history of Chittranjan CR Park. The history that backs to the early 1950’s where the colony was formed during partitions. It has emerged as the most important outpost of Bengali culture in the capital. The design contributes to such thinking and bring back the history and heritage towards the new citizens and visitors of Chiitranjan CR Park. The design also contributes to be self-developing and self-growing by implementing spaces for revenue

generation for the community and the city for the maintenance of the street and spaces. The rich cultural heritage and creative minds of the people of Bengal are best reflected in their traditional art forms, folk songs and dances. Rural Bengal takes the lead in keeping the old customs and the associated song and dance forms alive in Modern West Bengal. The folk songs and dances of Bengal deal with a variety of themes, some are associated with religion, prayers, festivals and rituals, others talk

about society at large, and yet others bring religious epics to life.

The title says it all ‘touching high’ to the ‘souls of

Beirut. The idea processed from the thought that the people thoughts and prayers could reach to the souls, connecting the ground with air and air with the sky. The structure designed is 50times bigger than the human body, representing the loss caused by the people and showing that the praying for the souls together is the best way one can reach to the soul.

used from the exploded existing soil as the foundation and base of the structure and further top can be made of composite (steel and concrete) material. The central part of the structure is zoned to be the focal point to the top tip of the structure accommodated with a fire box. The reason was to bring all the thoughts and prayers in and could also represent the meaning of strongeness and courage for the people visiting. The surrounding part which was exploded is kept as it is, so as to show people,

the power of man-made disaster and promote awareness on climate change.

The site we have selected is the perfect enactment of the brief. The picturesque site located on the banks of Sanapur lake, is the ideal backdrop for the world heritage sites in Hampi. Our society has used religion as a medium to create invisible borders between people and turn them against each other. Hampi and its sites are an allure to people of every race, religion, colour, age, and place. So, our site would be accurately placed to execute the idea of

harmony in prayers. It would be the most idyllic environment for all the visitors to break free from the

societal

barriers

and

unify

as

one

kind,

humankind. Through our design we are giving an ode to the highest power of creation, “Nature”. We have

considered the trinity of air, water and earth as our principle

inspiration.

The

design

is

an

entire

composition of geometric shapes, from rigid shapes to parabolic arches. The visitors have their moment of serendipity to merge with these elements as they relish the air on the journey to the banks of the lake with which they shall coalesce whilst keeping in touch with the earth.
