Finn Wolfhard is the envy of high school kids everywhere. The young Canadian actor has put together a music video, met with Obama, and starred alongside Winona Ryder on your Netflix favorite show, Stranger Things. The former Dazed cover star pocketed Mike Wheeler’s role after auditioning for the section via video while he was sick in bed. On the show, it was the romance of his dogs with Millies Bobby Brown’s Eleven, a mysterious girl with telekinetic power, who melted everywhere and made it one of the most loved faces of 2016. When he is not against Demogorgons or brushing his shoulders with A-listers, Wolfhard can be found attending school in his hometown of Vancouver, playing guitar and performing in a music video for the Canadian punk band PUP. “I want to somehow get an album or EP,” he said in 2016. As for the next series, Wolfhard locked his lips. “All I can say is that anyone who likes this season will not be disappointed,” he said. “We are having a photo shoot and even more amazing than last year.” Stranger Side by side, Wolfhard has many projects in the pipeline: he is cast as Richie Tozier in Stephen King’s new adaptation of It and, along with the Ambition to issue the EP, he is
eager to take a megaphone. “I love acting, but I really want to go straight,” he said. Pay attention to this space. Apparently, A video for Spendtime Palace’s song “Sonora” is simply another notch on his ever-expanding belt. It was a team effort to boot, co-directed by Wolfhard and his friend, Vine star Josh Ovalle. “Once we listened to the song a bunch of times we were thinking of what the tone was and we thought it had a western feel,” Wolfhard told Billboard. “ The western-themed video follows Iris Apatow (daughter of famed comedy director Judd Apatow) as she lives out a suburban life with a hard-nosed father keeping her busy with household chores. Wolfhard also stars as the peeping Tom next door who has a crush on her, helping her to escape for a party. “We were inspired by watching those kinds of classic Spielberg kid movies for sure, and I think it’s such a cool idea that someone who is only 14 can still make someone happy in the sense of taking them away from an awful person,” he explained. THE ICONIC STYLE OF AGNEZ MO By HOPPER KINS
A
gnez Mo doesn’t do anything by halves. On the Pacific Palisades set of the music video for “Long as I Get Paid”—the debut single from her first international record, X— the Indonesian pop artist called the shots, leading a team of dancers through complex choreography and belting out her self-assured “take that haters” anthem at a location she scouted herself. Mo may have had her hands full, but her energy was palpable. “I needed to make sure that what I envisioned really came to life,” she said during a break in filming. With today’s launch of X, a confessional disc that she considers her most personal work to date, Mo enters the next phase of a career that has been exemplary from the start. Though she’s a newcomer in the States, in Asia, where she’s been performing since the age of 6, she has already been a chart-topping superstar for two decades. To her millions of fans there, she’s as beloved for her outlandish fashions as she is for her sexually liberated lyrics set to edgy-yet-pop
sounds created with American music industry staples like Timbaland and Danja. “I want the people who are there to be there because what we’re creating together is cool, not just because they’re getting paid. [So] when I found the right team, I wanted to stick with them.” On the fashion front, that has meant assembling a group of creative heavy hitters. Mo enlisted the talents of stylist Monica Rose, makeup artist Mylah Morales, and hairstylist Larry Sims, to create a series of visual identities for the album’s music videos and to push her look beyond the expected. “What I love about all three of them is that they listen to what I want and I listen to what they want,” said Mo, who switches from sleek dominatrix to fresh-faced ingenue in the span of one video. “It’s an exchange of ideas and a true collaboration.” The group, who exchanged references over email and text, cites everything from Who’s That Girl?–era Madonna to Mo’s Indonesian heritage as a source of inspiration. The resulting mélange is distinctive, with baju adat traditional headdresses, Balmain, and vintage Chanel getting equal play.

“What I love about Agnez is how willing she is to take risks,” said Rose, whose avant-garde selections for Mo are worlds away from the laid-back Calabasas style the stylist helped to popularize. “She never says no and she’s always open to suggestions and input, which is a rare quality.” Mo’s adaptability also helps to make the job excit-
ing for Sims. “She’s a chameleon,” he said. “To me, it’s almost reminiscent of when I started to work with Lupita, because Agnez is just so game and eager to play.” The sentiment was echoed by Morales, who compares Mo to that other pop star turned fashion influencer, Rihanna: “Agnez has her vision of what she wants, and that is essential when you’re working with an artist.”

Here’s a perfect look for the office – remember the show “The Carrie Diaries”? It was set in the 80s and office workers wore all these colorful and loud clothing. She’s wearing an 80s-staple floral button down paired with a high-waist grey pencil skirt and yellow heels, a contemporary staple.
Matching tops and bottoms were totally a BIG THING. Whether the prints are florals, abstract or even solid and plain ones, lace, sheers, you’d always see girls wearing these. They pair it with platform shoes or combat boots, but for our modern take, pair it with sexy, strappy sandals and a blazer. Also, we like the mix and matching of different textures with this look but with the same color.
Vintage cut out jumper – vintage leather bag – vintage cut out leather oxfords. Something the new and improved Taylor Swift would wear. You can find items like these in thrift stores.
