The days begin to grow longer, kids play on the beach even when the kids don’t play the pelican still flies.

A man sits on his boat and watches as the pelican sweeps across the quilt of water.

dives.

He bobs to the surface, a fish in his gullet.

The man thinks to himself “I’ve been here all day and the pelican has already caught more than me.”
