Welcome to our 4th Annual Online Sale. Many thanks to all who have supported our previous sales. As this is still a relatively new method of marketing, I appreciate all who participated in this type of auction. To me, this format of selling has one unique feature that is very attractive. There is no sale order! All lots stay open until there is a 5 minute lapse in bidding after the scheduled 8 pm closing time. As a buyer the advantage comes if your #1 selection sells above your budget you can move your bidding to any other Lot. At a traditional auction you may be left scrambling to find a suitable bull if your #1 selection sells over your budget and your #2 and #3 choices have already been sold. If you have never tried this format of auction feel free to give me a call and I would be happy to assist. Weather challenges in 2016 anyone? This seems to be a common topic every year lately. Due to the wet conditions of our corrals we opted to leave many of our calves in the pasture with their mothers longer than most years. My footnotes of this year’s bulls will include actual weaning weights and the date in which the bulls were weighed and weaned. Management of the bulls this winter has changed slightly. Wet conditions all of October did not leave our field of green oats/barley in any shape to handle silage equipment. The bulls were backgrounded on whole oats and hay until early December. Currently the bulls are fed 5 lbs of pellets twice daily and have access to grass hay. The bulls were pictured and videoed February 13th. Bull will be weighed and have a breeding soundness evaluation prior to the sale closing date. Animals sell under the suggested terms and conditions of the Canadian Angus Association. Settlement will be handled directly by Hi Low Angus. We will do our upmost to care for your purchase after the sale, but insuring your purchase is always a good idea. Our local insurance broker is Dave Jones (306 731-7388). Delivery of the bulls will begin mid April and is free within 300 km. We will be happy to arrange other deliveries at cost. For bulls needing to stay after May 1st there will be a $3/head/day fee. Thank you for your interest in our program. Tiger 12Y is a bull we raised and sold to our neighbors Dale and Joanne Sigurdson. We collected a limited amount of semen from him before an untimely injury. His EPDs are great ranking in the top 2% of the breed for calving ease, top 5% for weaning weight and top 3% for yearling weight. His daughters have tight udders with small teats.

Kathie researched and selected this SAV Brand name son, Whitestone Armando. He has an outcross pedigree for our program. We were impressed with the calves from birth last spring and have more of them on the ground now. These Armando sons are stout and powerful and will add the depth everyone wants.

The last number of years we have increased our use of artificial insemination and have used some of our up and coming home raised bulls to cover cows which do not settle to AI. 100C is one of the bulls we used. This bull is a paternal brother to last year’s high selling bull purchased by 4K Angus of Earl Grey, SK.
A virgin bull who won’t be two until the end of June. He is a maternal brother to Tiger 1X. My sister Kathie purchased Tibbie 108U from Scott Anderson as an open heifer, Scott showed her successfully at the World Angus Forum as a bred heifer. Tibbie’s first calf was Tiger 1X. He has sired a great set daughters for us over the past six years.
