In present day Traffic congestion in Bangkok is major problem that has been occurring for a long time. The concept of problem solving was developed by the mass transit system. The most widely accepted mass transit system in the world is the MRT system, which the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration wants to promote as the city's main mass transit system. The development of the MRT project resulted in the development of the city, Land value and diversity in the use of land in the station district. The city's growth direction is clearly evident. From concept to development of space around MRT station, the station will connect two metro lines: MRT Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line and orange lines. It will be the important transit point of the city in the future.

The location of the project is currently empty, undevelop land. The original MRTA plan will be developed as a parking area.The development of the project must take into account the limitations of the area. And take into account the context of urban development around the project.

The original area of the project was limited by the area of the metro station, which could not be used to construct the foundations of the building.

The project consists of an area that connects the project area with the MRT station area.It is designed to provide easy access to the station area and the building. It is also related to the accessibility of space in various parts of the building. Functions of the project is determined by the lifestyle of the users of the MRT system. And project users in the area. It is concluded that the area surrounding the project has the potential to develop as a support area for urban activities. The project consists of recreation area, activity area and park. The building includes a public library, a gallery, co-working space.




The design of useable space in the project focused on the semi outdoor area,which is the area for recreation activities in the project. By arranging semi space Outdoor within the project will be in a position that is less affected by heat.This makes these areas can be use throughout the day,adding a variety of functions to the area.


The building facade design focuses on the protection of solar heating by using a mesh for solar filtration. It can also be easily ventilated.





AGRO PARK

Khon Kaen University Ariculture park 4th Year Architectural Design

The project was initiated by Khon Kaen University's agricultural park development policy as a recreation area. And to organize the exhibition The Northeastern Agriculture Expo. CCurrently, the area is the site of agricultural products.The elements of the project will include paviliion for the exhibit,Retail shop And improve the surrounding landscape.


The project layout and the project's landscape use the building orientation from the Agro project. Outlet and characteristics of the area to be divided into a long row.

From such characteristics, the area is divided into sections. Each section is 4 meters wide. This will determine the breadth of the shop and the size of other areas in the project.

The layout of the store building is aligned with the area. It is arranged overlapping to attract the interest of the area. The vertical alignment of the building also allows the roof to be fitted with solar panels efficiently.

In the landscape, the plant has been planted. Include the part where the area is divided. But there is an alternate placement, adding a ball of space and inserting it into the original tree.

The project also includes agricultural plots. Each plot is divided into the same area as the other areas, with a mesh filter.

The design allows the building to adjust the size of the space and the number of retail.

The paviliion is a multipurpose space for events and exhibits. Second floor area for planting. And the walls of the building are translucent to see what is happening inside the building. It does not block the relationship of internal and external space.

The interior of the project is surrounded by canals. Support for water from cultivation and circulation within the project area.

Live Design Discourse Workshop Singapore

The Live Design Discourse (LDD) was initiated by Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM) and endorsed during the Tri-Nations meeting in Bangkok in 2017. The inaugural LDD session was conducted in Kuala Lumpur in conjunction with the Kuala Lumpur Architecture Festival in July 2017. This first session was well attended by representatives from PAM, Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA), The Association of Siamese Architects (ASA) and Ikatan Arsitek Indonesia (IAI). For this second installation of the Live Design Discourse, SIA has the privilege of hosting the session in conjunction with Archifest 2017 in Singapore.

Singapore, despite being an island country with limited land and material resources, is one of the world’s fastest growing economies in the world. The innovative and highly successful economic system of Singapore also means a need for constant adaptation to fast-changing economic models, demographical and social shifts, and technological developments. The effects of these constant changes and transformations result in buildings being placed under the constant threat and risks of becoming obsolete.

The Site The proposed site is the former Yan Kit Swimming Complex, located within the Tanjong Pagar area. Sitting squarely along Yan Kit Road, the horseshoe-shaped complex is nestled within the dense urban environment of a distinctive historical-heritage enclave, Chinatown and the city centre. The site lies dormant, ringed in by old Housing Development Board (HDB) flats and conserved shophouses, all of which seemed to have frozen in time, while newer glossy towers like The Pinnacle@Duxton, Oasia Hotel and Tanjong Pagar Centre have mushroomed along the outer rings.


The former Yan Kit Swimming Complex is historically significant because it was the second public swimming pool in Singapore, and was so popular that there was only standing room in the 3 pools; as a result, patrons had to be limited to 2 hours in the pool per entry. The complex opened its doors to the public in 1952 and eventually shut its gates for good in April 2001. The complex was closed due to the dismal average daily attendance of 120 users by 2001, and the high cost of maintenance. Several redevelopment plans were mooted in 1994 and 2005, but they never materialized. Eventually in 2011, the existing pools were filled in with soil and planted with grass for the handing over to the Singapore Land Authority (SLA). More recently in January 2017, Tanjong Pagar MP Indranee Rajah announced that a community sports facility will be built at the site by 2019, though there will not be a swimming pool amongst its new features. Going underground The Public Utilities Board of Singapore is exploring the possibility of using space for drainage and water storage to help Singapore overcome the effects of climate change such as more intense rain prolonged dry spells. A tender for feasibility study will be called in coming months.

LAKE SIDE STUDIO THE COMPETTITION WAS TO DESIGN A 60 SQ.M STEEL ARCHITECTURE THAT FOCUSING ON MODULARITY AND CAN BE USED TO ADJUST VARIOUS ROOM FUNCTIONS.

Studio size is 60sq.m. The size of 60sq.m is quite compact. From the program, it must be considered in terms of versatility. Including modifications to the application. The idea of this project is what if the building area can be expanded? Walls can be open. The building can be adjusted to your needs.

The space is a 3x3m module which is related to the shape of the steel that length is 6 meters.

When each area is the same size, the length of the material in each module is the same size.

The wall can be modified to usable space.

The building can be modified and extended to meet the user a variety of activities.

The design of the multipurpose room is designed as a studio and small office. The focus is on the use of small areas. You can adjust the living space according to your needs. The concept of building design focus on the ease of construction and modularity to save time in construction and reduce the amount of scrap left over. Therefore, the design of the building is related to the length of the steel. The distance between the column and the beam can be cut to the full and the debris is minimal. The exterior of the building can be folded into the ground floor, allowing for additional space when needed.

Houses in the Mediterranean region are prominent in the use of materials.It represents a distinct identity of architecture, such as a wall plastered with white cement.Or a colorful clay tile roof contrast with the white walls of the building.

The appearance of the building is influenced by the characteristics of the sub-tropical climate suitable for the resort, making the living area of the house. Both indoor and semi-outdoor are featured in Mediterranean architecture.


The space for the activities of a traditional Mediterranean home is often separated from each other, so separate activities are organized by the living room, the living area, the cooking section and the work area. In the same line

As part of activities were held to come together to make things happen in this area can be perceived from all other areas of the home.

The total activity area of the house is double space.The roof of the building gives a sense of openness and openness of the area to the outside of the building.Can be realized wide angle outside the building.

The exterior of the building is of a Mediterranean style, expressing it through the use of building materials including roofs, terracotta tiles and white plastered walls, but the space design in the home and structure is different from the traditional building. Load-bearing walls that limit the width of the room By turning to a steel structure, the interior area becomes lighter and more spacious. The steel structure is harmonized with the walls and floors by painting the whole white.The roof is open to the structure, which gives a contemporary feel.
