KNITTED IN SWEDEN We have always had an affection for the genuine. A taste for the pure that never goes out of style. So when we teamed up with Ingemar Stenmark in the 1970s, we soon realized that this was a match, if not made in heaven, at least made perfect in the heavenly surroundings of snow-covered mountains. He, just as us, believed in creating success through long-term dedication, and to always stay true to your roots.
Our latest collection is a celebration of our heritage. Of the unique knowledge and skills of our past and present hat makers. Of the handicraft traditions that still rule in our very own knitting factory in Sätila. The retro spirit can be seen in the colors, felt in the materials and enjoyed in the functional and timelessly stylish design.
This season we are especially proud to present our new range of locally produced hats, underwear and socks made from Merino wool and lambswool. Sätila of Sweden – knitted in Sweden since 1896.

WHEN STENMARK RACED SWEDEN STOOD STILL In 1975, we start to collaborate with Ingemar Stenmark. Ingemar’s mother Gunborg knitted the hats that catapulted Sätila onto the international arena. 50 000-100 000 Stenmark hats were sold each year. This became an important era for Sätila of Sweden.
