This was the starting point of the entrepreneurial adventure that, almost ninety years ago, gave rise to Sais, which later, in 2005, became Galileo S.p.A.
The unstoppable growth recorded over the years is undoubtedly the result of creativity and entrepreneurship, which are distinctive traits of its made in Italy philosophy.

TIME LINE
1929 ―
Felice Sais and his wife, Giuseppina Ciliento started out as itinerant traders in household goods. Year after year, the business expanded throughout Southern Italy and the islands.
1972 ― Santa, one of Felice Sais’ daughters, at just twenty-nine years old, decided to move to Tivoli, a strategic area on the outskirts of Rome. She bought a small structure in the centre dedicated to both retail and wholesale sales.
1985 ―
Felice Turco, son of Santa, was still a boy when he started travelling to Germany, the home of porcelain at that time. His aim was to study materials and their manufacture. In 1989, he left for Macao to discover the international market.
1989 ―
Felice Turco visits the Macau pottery fair in southern China for the first time, opening the door to a new market and different sources of supply.
1990 ―
Sais S.r.l. inaugurated its headquarter in Pontelucano, a commercial area on the outskirts of Tivoli and at just a few kilometres from Rome.
1996 ―
The new commercial brand Collezione Villa d'Este is conceived, offering fine items in German porcelain, Lumezzane flatware, and Bohemia crystal.
1997 ―
The La Satur S.r.l. brand is born. After the Ponte Lucano store, the first one is opened in Rome, in the Eur area.
2005 ―
Galileo S.p.A was born from the splitting of Sais S.r.l., a company that incorporates the brands of the Galileo family, VdE Tivoli 1996 and Kooper.
2017 ―
Here comes Satur e-commerce, the group's first virtual store (www. satur.it), also dedicated to those who do not reside near the stores.
2023 ―
2019 ―
Galileo S.p.A. becomes the exclusive distributor in Italy for Chigo, a leading air conditioning company.

It makes use of a transversal design capable of facilitate everyday actions, without giving up on high quality of materials, peculiar research of design and sustainable approach.
Kooper believes in the future and faces creative and
productive challenges with the foresight of a champion. The catalogue is being constantly updated. Alongside the references that have made the history of the brand, it is possible to find articles of the latest generation and exclusive sector novelties.
It is from this insight that in 2021 Kooper X was born, a new approach to home and technology.
Galileo s.p.a. in 2023 becomes the exclusive distributor of the Chigo brand in italy.

Kooper believes in the future and meets creative and production challenges
VdE Tivoli 1996, the leading brand of the Galileo S.p.A. Group, has been colouring the table for over 25 years with its original decorations and tireless love for Italian style.
Italianness is a trademark for the brand, which sprouted on the outskirts of Rome, a few steps from the ancient imperial wonders of Villa Adriana and Villa d’Este, an Este jewel in the heart of Tivoli. It is from here that, over the years, it has started creating collections inspired by fashion, tradition and Italian craftsmanship, but capable of looking at the world and its beauty.
Each decoration, designed by the company’s own designers, translates in an excellent and original way inspirations, contaminationsandtrendsthat, inthisway,becomeprotagonists of conviviality.

VdE studio is the laboratory of ideas which takes its name from the VdE Tivoli 1996 brand. Every creative flash is enclosed in this new brand, characterised by a lively, original and completely Made in Italy design. The new VdE identity is pioneered by Victionary, which has been gaining public approval over the least three years with its “vocabolario dell’ironia quotidiana” (“vocabulary of everyday irony”).

2015: Selected as one of 8 winners of the Cathay Pacific Business Award This award is dedicated to the best Italian businesses with relations with the APAC area.
2017: Included among the ‘London Stock Exchange Group’ by the London Stock Exchange Group. The result of the 2017 edition was introduced at the European Parliament in Brussels, to celebrate Europe’s most dynamic entrepreneurial companies in terms of turnover growth and financial performance.

In 2018, thanks to its excellent performance, Satur s.r.l. stood out among a shortlist of 724 Italian companies.
