SPACE PLANNING
Aatma Prakash - A Pol House The focus of this studio is space planning and organization. We understood the users and stakeholders in order to respond to an actual site and its context, the climate, to identify and choose an appropriate structural system. The house is designed to accomodate five people. The site is located in the pols of the old city of Ahmedabad. The site is a pol house in a completely dilapidated and broken state. Some elements such as windows, doors, wooden columns, beams, joists, staircase etc. have been salvaged from Diwanji ni Haveli. These salvaged elements are supposed to be reused in the new design. The task was to design a residence for this family in the given site keeping in mind the individual needs of the family members while responding to the site context and the climatic conditions.

Amidst the new buildings that are thriving in the ‘CEPT University Campus’, to develop a ‘‘Students’ space’’ at the given site within the campus. The site is located at the West of the FA Wall - facing Canteen on west, CFP building entrance at North and Garba Ground on the east. FURNITURE DESIGN
Cadeira - A Lounge Chair
In the course of the studio, the final product was to be made by taking inspiration from a natural object. For this project the object chosen was Pineapple. With thorough research upon the subject, a 2D motif was generated which intern led to the development of the final product i.e. the lounge chair. Key attributes of pineapple were taken and worked upon setting the context as well as the design of the chair. During the process, explorations were made through sketches, 3D models and physical models.

VISUALISATION
A Reading Centre The idea was to select approximately 150 sq. meter of indoor space on CEPT campus and enlarge the space into a reading centre with the incorporation of rest of the corresponding spaces. The space required appropriate changes in terms of function in order to accomodate the reading centre. The design resolved the relation between inside and outside of the space, the location of reading centre and the transitionbetween different levels. Addressing the current built form, the natural light condition, circulation patterns, application of attributes and elements of design are taken care of.
