CASTROVERDE were introduced in 2014 during Florida State University’s study abroad program in Valencia, Spain. They originally intended to wed in October 2020 in the city where they met, however, the pandemic made planning an international wedding challenging. They rescheduled three times before shifting the location to Savannah.

With special help from the visionary entrepreneur, luxury hotelier, and philanthropist Richard Kessler — a close business associate of the bride’s father — the couple created a one-of-a-kind celebration. Select wedding details honored the couples’ shared Cuban-American heritage, as well as the groom’s relation to the Bacardi family. SCW
