The concept “CONNECT” is inspired by humanism and the idea that each person is different in their own way, yet equally the same as we are all a part of the human race. We wanted our design to reflect individuality, while encouraging conversation and interaction to display these humanistic qualities Leonardo Da Vinci studied.

For a group of two to redesign a youth hostel restaurant and bar cafeteria establishment, which should have a higher quality level of finishings than standard restaurants, with accurate details and particular attention to design, materials, lighting, etc. The space should be a place which blends a warm and friendly style with the latest trends in aesthetics, focusing on a chosen concept and brand, along with inspiration from Leonardo Da Vinci’s humanism.

Our custom booth design, along with our logo for the cafeteria intertwines, creating a geometric pattern to represent the idea of connection and bringing individuals together. The cohesive space is designed to flow and operate in a functional way as the design promotes a natural flow for both the customers and employees by visually guiding the eye through the way finding and contrast of materials used. This traffic pattern also reflects the overall concept for the space, representing the contrasting

The concept of vibrancy projects the values of LuLaRoe as it stands for the bright colors, comfort, and energy seen in the brand. Color and emphasis were the elements and principles of deisgn pulled from this concept and abstracted into a model in which was developed into the essence of the design.

During the research process, it was concluded that having a range of both public and private work and collaboration spaces suited multi generation offices best and gave the most flexibility. The design incorporates the essence of vibrancy through the bright fabrics, angular floor plan, and use of the brands legging patterns as custom wall paper and carpeting. Our overall concept of contrast focused on using both industrial and natural materials in order to create a space that represents both a clean, commercial space, while encompassing the natural, home-like qualities a welcoming place to stay should give. Our concept represents the contrast in different backgrounds of those staying at the hostel, coming from different places all around the world and giving them a space that visually

The Body Shop was started by a woman inspired by the natural beauty products women used around the world during her travels. The Body Shop store is a vibrant, nature inspired space, that has a unique heritage and is both informal and engaging.

In teams of two, design the cashwrap, impulse fixture, and focus wall for The Body Shop’s new store design and branding. The fixtures should hold as much product as possible, be engaging experiences that encourage the customer to grab

Our custom cash-wrap design inclues a focus wall composed of sustainably sourced wood and steel which represent the enrichment of the planet, transparent prints of their raw products to enrich the products, and added greenery to enrich the people. The cash-wrap itself contains interactive spinning fixtures that neatly display products on the outside, while more product can be tossed into the bin on the inner circle for more storage. The body butters along the side of these fixtures are spring loaded, neatly storing a large quantity of products that draws the customers intereset, resulting in

El Cachorro Couture is an online Etsy shop run by two women named Kitty and Angela. This company designs custom suits, dresses, and accessories for dogs and matching bow ties for their owners. Their goal is to fit dogs of all breeds, shapes, and sizes into the perfect outfit for their special occasion.

To design a pop up shop for an Etsy company that suits their brand. A custom cash-wrap and fixtures must be built, designed to display the companies unique products. The storefront entrance and window display should be designed according to the brand and the layout should encourage customers to explore the entire space in order to promote the most sales.

In order to brand the store and draw attention from the exterior, a bright red sign was placed facing both ways of the traffic flow on the street, along with the bold black and white stripes of El Cachorro Couture. Easy to clean wood floors were used along with half wall coverings in order to prevent scratching and scuffing at the hight of dogs. All fixtures are also out of reach of even large dogs to prevent damage to the products. The circulation allows clients to drop their dog off at the play space while they shop. There is a small consultation seating space by the checkout for custom orders or waiting, and a fitting and measuring area for the animals with fabric samples to chose from near by.
