the hidden gem h o s p i ta l i t y | 1 4 , 0 0 0 s q f t | l i n c o l n , n e The Hidden Gem is a hideaway rentable event space that responds to the time of day. Inspired by the layers and geometries of a geode, the space offers a transitional experience as you move through the building core. Using sections within the architectural shell to guide the user through each unique layer of space, the connected layers of the interior experience create a sophisticated sense of awe and discovery from day time to night time.
s p at i a l d i a g r a m Space was carved out of the existing architectural shell to create large gestural volumes that open up and connect the two levels up for various entertainment possibilities.

The Library of Knowmads examines spatial realities of a new library typology for synergies of knowledge and creative output.
site The digital divide is the gap between those who have access to information technologies and those who do not. It has a strong correlation with poverty in Lincoln, NE, meaning that those who need the tools for learning the most are disconnected from them.

interactive hubs The interactive hubs act as social gathering places for learning, teaching, and exploring informaiton. The digital workspace is projected on the fabric membrane walls and is converted to data. The information created and explored on the walls is indexed by the library’s search engine as part of its collection.
luminous fa b r i c m e m b ra n e Philip’s Luminous Fabric Membrane connects to the cloud through LiFi WiFi transmitted through lightwaves. The material acts as a surface for working digitally while providing acoustical and visual privacy.
