“I did not go so far as to say, I was caught here in front of Chiapas, Mexico, in the first house. Since they took me, they had me three hours, more people were falling and they adjusted the trip, they took me to the jail, so to speak, where the Hondurans, the Guatemalans, the Salvadorans were. When they grabbed me, they checked me, they asked me if I was dizzy or something like that, yes I did, but I did not want to say, then I said no, I was nervous, I did not want to talk to anyone. I got enough food, but that food they give there, is ugly.” José, 16 years old

“I do not want to try to emigrate again, the first time, we had the opportunity to cross, we arrived at the border of Mexico, because we were 17 people who left the community and only crossed 8, the others we could not cross because we entered A fear that something might happen to us in the river, on the train track, or something similar, but I have no plans to go again because we run the risk of not continuing to live.” Estefany, 15 years old
Opportunities for reintegration surge periodically when youth projects are implemented. They are not part of municipal public policy.
