here are two kinds of people in this world. Those who love fine furniture consignment shopping and those who haven’t discovered it yet. After all, what is there not to love about buying beautiful custom and brand name furniture at a fraction of their original price? And better yet, how would you like to sell unwanted items from your home quickly while making twice as much money as if you tried to sell them on your own? Some people want only the most expensive and the newest. Others want exceptional merchandise at a great value. You will often find the best home furnishings values at Consign and Design. in Washington DC. I grew up spending many hours in furniture stores and workrooms and I just loved it! It’s fun to be able to redecorate the stores each week as new trucks roll in. I truly love what I do!” Consign and Design accepts high-end custom furniture, and home accessories on consignment. They have also sourced two exceptional furniture lines that are made in the USA and can be customized and shipped in 4 weeks. If you love a sofa, but want a sleeper, they can do that! If you like a certain style chair but want a swivel glider, they can do that too! With a complete fabric and wallpaper department and designers on staff, they can help you in any capacity with your home design needs. They offer an unmatched variety of top designer names and options that make designing your home easy. Why Consign? There are so many options today the decision seems hard. Nanci says consigning is still the way to go. “Often times auction houses sell your items for the highest bid and sometimes that’s very disappointing. Selling yourself requires letting people you don’t know, into your home. When you consign, your items are presented in a retail showroom amongst other high-end items.
They are given time to sell. If a customer loves the item, but not the color, no problem we can re upholster it. The consignor has professionals selling their item and that’s a huge plus in the price realized by the consignor. “ If you are thinking about selling or redecorating, give Consign and Design a call. They are happy to do house calls on large estates or they may just need a few photos to determine if your items are right for their stores. They will schedule the pick up and make everything as easy as possible. Consign and Design has recently joined forces with The Kathy Courtney Group real estate company and has a full service broker and agents on staff. They do listings for 1% commission while offering a full package of services for that low price.
