MEET DOUG & JACK YOUR NEW NEIGHBORS
INTRODUCING DREW OUR NEWEST CAMP COUNSELOR Tell us a little bit about yourself. Hello, my name is Andrew Clay. I’m 27yrs old and was born on July 22nd. My Zodiac is Cancer. I moved to Florida about two and a half years ago from Michigan and I currently reside in Inverness, Florida. I’m the oldest with one younger sibling and I’m a “Guncle” of 2 beautiful nieces. I have an 11yr old Chihuahua, and her name is Grizzly. I don’t really have any hobbies other than collecting Elephant stuff. There’s just something about the size of their trunks that gets me! My favorite colors are Green and Blue. I have 7 tattoos, and plan on getting more in the future. If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things are your must haves and why? If I were stranded on a deserted island the 3 things I couldn’t live without is my cell phone, Burger King, and my dog.
What city are you guys from ? Doug grew up in a small town (Tremont) in Illinois. Jack grew up in Moundsville, WV. We met in Columbus, OH in 2003 and moved to St. Petersburg, FL in 2012. We still have our home in St. Pete.
Who/What has inspired you in your life and why? I don’t really have anyone or anything that inspires me. So I inspire myself every day.
What do/did you do for a living? Doug has worked in technology for most of his career. In April he decided to take some time off and is currently enjoying not traveling around the world. Jack has a background in construction and since moving to St. Petersburg has fixed up several properties. We’re also in the process of flipping a house that should be on the market by the end of the year. Sorry folks, Jack is not for hire (he’s too busy).
Tell me something you have never told anyone else. One thing that nobody knows about me is that I play the Alto Saxophone.
What kinds of things really make you laugh? All sorts of things! It’s hard to pinpoint any one thing. We have a great sense of humor and enjoy campy humor :-) How long have you been coming to Sawmill? We just started coming this summer. While the pool was closed, it gave us a great opportunity to meet some of the residents and we really enjoyed ourselves. We decided to purchase and are very happy with where we ended up. Favorite movie of all time? Why so? Doug says Jaws because it scared Jack so much when he was a kid he wouldn’t go swimming in the river. Jack says Gone with the Wind because he likes history movies. What’s your “scene”? We like hanging out with friends and making new friends. We’re beer drinkers (Miller Lite if you’re interested) and we’re not afraid of the trails (or Garage)
