MOOD boards Description Every project begins with a thorough understanding of the people I collaborate with. And wether I am totally transforming a space or breathing fresh life into an existing one, I try to adapt the process to meet the unique needs of a client. The first stage of the process is the ‘’ideas’’ stage, the creative brainstorming to provide each client a unique design to match their brief. This stage forms the basis for the design throughout the process and I consider this the most important stage because all designs begin with the idea. An interior design mood board is a great way of presenting initial ideas to clients in order to get their input.

DUBAI HILLS CLIENT : EMAAR Our brief for this prestigious project was to present something that was new and exciting. To bring intriguing layers of texture and design to all elements of the interior whilst creating a space that was useable, not precious and could easily be lived in by the clients.

5

GREEN QUARTER CLIENT : Samruk Kazyna / BI Group The client’s brief was a neutral colour palette, clean lines, calm and relaxing interior with a bit of fun and modern twist. Pastel tones of pink gave this interior soft and innocent vibe and a variety of patterns and textures create depth and interest, making the room more dynamic.

Each client is an individual and each project is tailored entirely to the clients taste, style and functionality. With both strong technical and creative abilities, I’ve integrated bespoke interiors seamlessly into the architectural schemes.

THREE WATERS

CLIENT : Mount Anvil

Three Waters – where three new buildings rise from the water’s edge. Restful homes offer sun-lit living spaces and far-reaching views of the City across the water, riverside parks and local amenities. The critical mass of users and residents will consolidate a new and diverse community that has a strong identity based in the area’s waterways and industrial heritage. These apartments balance clean, contemporary geometric lines with subtle references to the area’s industrial past. From statement herringbone flooring which seamlessly runs from wood-effect into concrete-effect, to en-vogue cabinets and sleek SMEG appliances in the kitchen, and grey porcelain and marble-effect finishes in the bathroom. These are stylish, comfortable homes where form meets function, and modern design meets industrial-feeling materials. Geometric lines typify the interior, bringing order and balance.

THE TWIN TOWERS Loft Apartment 2007 Area: 250m2

This loft was designed for a couple who are avid art collectors. The furniture is minimal, a reflection of the art collection and the architecture. The furniture often recedes, letting the art be the focal point of the space. At the same time the austerity of the art and architecture is balanced by soft luxurious sofas and furnishings. Clean, spare, sculptural space, bathed in the simplicity of light and defined by right lines. The living area is about 250 sq.m, the extra volume makes it feel even larger, which is important since it serves multiple functions - living, dining, cooking in the living room, two bedrooms, a big master bathroom, guest bathroom and a large hallway.

13

MODERN FARMHOUSE Cottage, Kiev 2007 Area: 800sq.m

This project was one of several that I’ve designed in the National Park Zalissya 20 km northeast of Kiev. I wanted to give a contemporary twist on the typical traditional proportions of this style of architecture. The interiors were inspired by a sophisticated yet comfortable vibe. The mostly white interior gets contemporary contrast from dark elements. Lack of color evokes a clean, serene atmosphere. Dark brown adds depth to the neutral balance of taupe, tan and vanilla. Mixture of clean, contemporary lines, along with classical and traditional elements are forged to develop a style of comfort and elegance. This project brings together vintage character with modem aesthetic framework.

MODERN HERITAGE Apartment 2007 Area: 250sq.m

This modern apartment interior exudes a calm atmosphere, and styled to create a luxury feel. The marriage of vintage, antique, and modern pieces creatively express a meaningful space filled with style and urbane sophistication. Sleek, modern furnishings contrast with timeless, traditional shapes. A large living area incorporates a long dining space and continuous kitchen with whire base colours and relaxing fixtures. The neutral colour scheme, earth tone textile and light wooden floor in the living space, combined with a unique glass wall and handmade shelves. As we enter the apartment a mirror wall to the left contains a wardrobe. As we move further into the space this wall becomes part of the kitchen and living space, with aquarium on the front and additional kitchen storage concealed behind the panels.

SEROVA STREET Apartment 2007 Total area: 150m2

I designed this apartment with the lifestyle of the client in mind, keeping the environment a neutral and flexible palette while taking the opportunity to cover each and every piece with a touch of Deco motifs. Light coloured walls create a sense of brightness, emphasised by using large swathes of mirror and metal details. The concept was to create a space that is understated and chic on its own accord, while allowing important events and colourful memories to punctuate the space with new life and sensations each time. A well-done neutral room is one you can feel sophisticated in by yourself on a casual Sunday morning, but lends itself well to any variety of flowers, guests’ fashions and time of day.

WRITER’S RETREAT Private House 2012 Total area: 700m2

Helena is an acclaimed Russian novelist, busy wife and mother, who enjoys escaping into her fantasy world at every available opportunity. The interior design was inspired by the Client’s passion for Modernism. An eclectic interior weaves together traditional and modern forms.

Description Work is no longer a place that you go, but rather something that you do, and modern office environments are changing to reflect this different way of thinking. No longer will the workplace revolve around noisy, uniform and uninspiring floors, where misdirected breakout zones attempt to inspire conviviality. Modern offices will be providing ever more diverse types of spaces to facilitate different types of work. The influence of domestic interiors is now being seen very strongly in the office, as the importance of informal discussions, communication and collaboration grow. Having worked at Gray Puksand, one of the leading Australian architectural firm specialising in commercial sector and globally recognised Aedas, I learned to understand that commercial workspaces need to continually evolve and adapt in order to reap the benefits of the new ways of working, and to compete successfully in the modern marketplace. It’s not a case of onesize-fits-all, but rather a careful consideration of each organisation, its people and their needs. Tomorrow’s Open Work offices will put human wellbeing first, with advanced apps and AI able to gauge individual workers’ preferences to create the optimum working conditions for focus and productivity.

JOHN HUNTER BUIDING Office CLIENT : Cor Val Partners

The brief was to transform the building’s existing lobby and street facade in order to promote the asset as an A-Grade premise. Aside from the existing travertine stone which continues to clad the perimiter lobby walls, the majority of the existing disparate interior elements were demolished to make way for the renewal. Through the application of faceted timber forms to the walls and ceilings, tenants and clients are now quided through the space towards the lift core at the rear of the lobby through the implementation of intuitive way finding elements. The organic shapes within the living wall contrast against geometric architectural forms, while the push of green within furniture items play against the high contrast palette.

MASTERPLANNING ARCHITECTURE INTERIOR DESIGN

Description Retail remains the single largest private sector employer in the UK, but in the last 10 years we’ve seen an uge growth in online retailing and digital technology, and the knock-on effect on physical stores. Retail clients are increasingly being challenged to do far more with their stores in response to online options - there has to be a good reason to go out to go shopping. Having a broad knowledge and experience in the retail sector from designing the Luxury Fashion Boutique Stores in Ukraine, medium Malls in Russia to one of the largest Shopping Centres in Australia, I came to realisation that “being good enough isn’t good enough”. We need to create great stores with more personality. Everyone has to be more standout than they had been before, whether this is through the quality of service or a physical store environment’s ability to offer something different and surprising. It’s challenging clients to think about how to present their store. It’s all about maximising the store experience. The retail world needs “stories not stores” Retailers and developers need to work hard, invest in their venues and provide shoppers with a reason to come into a shop.

Best Collection fashionable boutique is located in the very center of Dnipro City. Entering the store, the customer is immediately struck by the luxurious new vision of the fashion universe. The design concept intermixes 19th century exterior and modern interior. The store’s main design component is a pipe-like aluminium construction that visually connects the two floors. The color theme is based on iron and copper mix combined with natural light and soft shaded background walls. Signature materials like deep glossy zebrano wood and black leather are dark in color, while the iconic travertine has a richer, warmer hue.

FEASIBILITY STUDY ARCHITECTURE INTERIOR DESIGN REBRANDING

Description My experience in Hospitality sector started in 2008 at John Seifert’s office, son of Richard Seifert best known for designing the Centre Point tower and Tower 42. I was lucky to work closely with John, who has completed over 100 major projects worldwide delivering truly world-quality design products. The list of clients icluded Hilton, Sofitel, Radisson, Regent Hotels & Resorts, Marriott and Sheraton. Since than my passion to the Hospitality projects have only increased. Each project is very different and the hotel industry is an extremely competitive and everchanging market which means the owners are having to up their game and constantly renew their offering. “A hotel is not just a place to sleep, but to engage in” Hotel interior design must take on the many demands of today’s customers and create spaces that are not only functional but awe-inspiring and memorable. My inspiration comes from all around me. I believe the element that makes a hotel unique and interesting is its location and sense of place. I try to make sure that the interior design in some way reflects the community around to create an instant connection.

The materials envisaged for the project were harmonious with the landscape. Natural stone and timber enhance the resort nature of the project and give the relaxed feel that a luxury 5star resort hotel demands. The recreated hotel building was intended to be reconstructed as it was with authentic materials and colours. ARCHI tecture Description As an architectural designer I have worked alongside highly skilled professionals to implement several large scale and award winning residential, retail and mixed use developments. I’ve played a key role in developing concept and detail design, presentation packages and construction documentation for various architectural projects and managed a few. Being thorn between architecture and interior design I finally decided to follow my everlasting passion for the art of interior design. I love the process of working closely with both the client, as well as the design team to ensure that the client’s style and personality are reflective in the design. Every day, that I’m designing is enough motivation for me! I absolutely love what I’m graced to do and I never take this for granted.

Situated on the most north west section of the plan, the island, its residents and its visitors will benefit from unrivalled views over Dubai Creek and the Island’s world class marina, yacht club and waterfront facilities. The plans of both the towers will be formed by splitting each tower into three sliding blocks. These sliding blocks are architecturally very dynamic and gesture towards the best waterfront views. The sliding block forms of the towers with their dramatic leading edges have been echoed in the podium landscape design and that of the waterfront duplex apartments. Spectacular penthouse apartments will be located at the top of each tower with panoramic views

BRIEF DEVELOPMENT CONCEPT DESIGN PRESENTATION

Description Competition is integral to the architecture industry and has been for years. From my personal experience I can say that it forced me as an individual to push the boundaries of my creativity and has resulted in some incredible projects being created. Throughout my whole career I used to participate in the architectural competions a lot. With companies like AEDAS and AHR I had a chance to explore passion to architecture and design in news ways and without the limits and constraints of a client or a supervisor. It was all about the idea. Many architecture competitions were purely conceptual, and the winning designs have never actually constructed. But those with the strong and successful ideas were developed into something tangible at a later stage. Many of the projects I’ve been part of began their life in conceptual competitions and later became real life projects.

PUBLISHING LOGO DESIGN CORPORATE IDENTITY

Description I’ve been always curious and passionate about latest technology and innovation. For more than 7 years I’ve worked with BIM technology within the AEC industry in a variety of roles in Australia and UK. I’ve always been a strong advocate for BIM and implemented it across a wide range of client sectors including retail, residential, commercial, interior fit-outs and heritage. I have worked with various teams at Buchan Group and AHR on the transitioning between Cad to Revit. I’ve contributed to improvements of Revit standards, templates, families, etc. I’m happy to be sharing valuable Digital implementation knowledge to ensure the team remains cutting-edge in innovation, to offer the latest technology to its clients. Through BIM an interior designer can be involved with a project right from the initial sketches, BIM offering the ability to visualise space and make amendments to design from a project’s conception. Allowing for better project coordination and adaptability across the specifier chain. For a designer BIM also means minimal error. Clash detection and being able to test objects in the space prior to purchase reduces the risk of costly mistakes. BIM can also provide accurate and up to date numbers and measurements to further reduce the risk of mistakes.

SITE SURVEY SPACE PLANNING PRESENTATION

Description The design process for architectural interiors involves a series of phases, each of which may call for drawings. At the outset, these may include programming, schematic, preliminary, and design development drawings. Such presentation drawings are created to convey program elements, spatial relationships, materials, color schemes, furnishings, and equipment, as necessary to set the design concept for an interior. One of the most valuable aspects of interior design sketching is that it makes teamwork so easy. Good communication in an interior design office, is crucial. Sketching the designs makes it super easy to explain your thoughts to others. Doesn’t matter if you are interior designing an office or a private home. And contrary to describing something with words, sketching doesn’t miscommunicate. Everything is clear when you sketch, talk with the pensil! Interior design sketching is the only way to create truly original and creative designs. Drawing is shaping ideas into the right forms and proportions. My favorite technics are: quick drafts on the go, pen sketches on tracing paper & colouring and shading that usually done with markers or watercolours.

TENDER DOCUMENTATION DESIGN DEVELOPMENT GUIDE TO CONSTRUCTION

Description Following the design intent stage construction drawings are produced. Construction drawings or working drawings, are graphic representations that communicate how to construct, remodel, or install a project. Construction drawings involve considerable time and attention to detail. On average over 50 percent of a project fee might be allocated to preparing construction drawings and the related specifications. This attests to the importance of construction drawings in the overall process of designing and constructing environments. Interior designers are taking an increasing role in coordinating interior projects and for producing construction drawings. Interior design and construction requires some unique types of drawing, such as designation of materials, interior elevations, floor plans, wall sections, furniture installation plans, fixtures & fittings specs, reflected ceiling & electricalplans, joinery sections & details, finishes junction details, and various schedules and specifications. Construction drawings visually communicate the design and the information required to bring it into reality to everyone who is involved in the building process. It is important that these are consistent with industry standards and their precise meaning is clear and can be understood

PANDOR A OFFICE CLIENT : Aust Equity Properties 1,500sq.m of a new workspace area for Pandora Jewelry Head Office, Belrose NSW. Aproject programme was very tight, with only three and a half weeks between developing an interior design concept and preparing mood boards to construction documentation. This lead to minimising the construction documentation to its bare minimum. But having a clear concept in mind and a great team of contractors and builders behind our backs we’ve managed to deliver every required drawing on time.
