School hours are 7:45 am – 3:00 pm. Students are allowed to arrive on campus at 7:00 am.

Every Tuesday, class is dismissed at 2:20 pm for student

The first Wednesday of each month, class is dismissed at

participation in club meetings.

2:00 pm to allow for faculty professional development.

The school day is an 8 period day (includes lunch). Classes are 50 minutes in length with 5 minutes between each class. St. Benedict follows a traditional two semester academic year.

St. Benedict has four full-time Guidance Counselors who assist students with the right course selections, advice related to college selection and coordinate testing including PLAN (PreACT), PSAT (Preliminary SAT) and ACT programs.

 Every year counts, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th!  Concentrate on the quality of your student transcript…. types of courses taken, level of the courses and grades achieved over four years.

Any class listed as a prerequisite for a course is the last class needed to take that course. Honors class admission is determined by assessment of grades, test scores and teacher recommendation. Students taking AP courses are required to take the AP exam at the end of the year. Curriculum in PLUS courses includes accommodations appropriate for each student. Teacher review of records and testing will be used in course placement. School uniforms are required for all physical education classes.
