Annual Report IN HONOR The 2013-14 Annual Fund
Honor Roll of Donors The Honor Roll of Donors/Annual Report acknowledges the many donors and volunteers who have contributed and helped St. Benedict at Auburndale High School. Their generosity helps to sustain the school’s mission of academic excellence in a challenging and Christian environment permeated with aims, values and teachings of the Roman Catholic faith, providing students with the tools to master this challenge, to continue their education and to make the world a better place. The Annual Fund Drive is one of the most important avenues of giving at SBA. These
annual gifts received from so many alumni, parents, grandparents, friends, faculty, staff and corporations are the lifeblood of the school. Please review this Annual Report and the generous Honor Roll of Donors who are enriching our school and students’ lives in so many ways. 2014 Phone-A-Thon On April 29, the SBA Development Office hosted the first annual Fund Phone-A-Thon in over a decade. Not only did we have 25 parent and student volunteers, but during the month of April, 177 donors responded to the campaign as a result of promoting the event. Wow! When we sat down to plan the 2013-14 Annual Fund last summer, we decided that the goal needed to be PARTICIPATION. We decided that people needed to know that EVERY GIFT counts. It made sense and worked perfect with our 25-year celebration. $25 for 25. You rose to the occasion and then some! We raised a total of $425,814.30, which is $80,000 more than we did last year and we have 216 more donors than ever before. In my three years with the Development Office, these are both new records. THANK YOU! What do I hope happens from here? I hope you continue to celebrate SBA. I hope you continue to see how your annual donation makes a difference. And I hope that our participation and amount totals continue to rise. Why? Because we are the largest private high school in the city and we have many needs for that reason. Our tuition is the lowest around, and in order for that to remain the case, our annual fund will need to continue to cover all of the things that tuition does not. Thank you for supporting our athletics, for supplementing our extra-curricular programs, for helping with our tuition assistance, and for making many of our campus upgrades happen this year!
