The 2013-14 Annual Fund for St. Benedict at Auburndale
Dear SBA family, It is hard to believe that we have watched 25 SBA classes graduate already. If you are like me, and have been around for it all, then you know how important this brochure and envelope are. I can go on and on about all the giving families that I have known in my time at SBA. I know exactly how these walls were built and how this foundation was poured, and it started with our families. It started with parents running concession stands, lining and cutting athletic fields, working in the cafeteria and driving on field trips. It continued with checks for lab microscopes or team uniforms. And that has all blossomed into what we now formally refer to as our Annual Fund. Yes, you can give to the Annual Fund and request that your gift go to a particular department, club or sport. If you would rather your money be used in an area of need, we depend on the generosity of our families and our Annual Fund to help keep us on the cutting edge of technological advances in the classroom and to maintain our tuition assistance program. In honoring 25 years of SBA, we are challenging everyone to give twenty-‐five dollars and to HONOR someone with that gift. Our Development office will let that person know of the honorarium and will list both names in our Annual Report. What a special way to reconnect and spread the spirit of giving, the SBA way. Of course, if you can give more, that would be great too! I hope that you will take a moment to consider this challenge. We have been successful for all these years because of people like you who have given their time, talents and treasures. Thank you for what you continue to do for our school. Here’s to 25 more! IN HONOR Of 25 Years Founded in 1988, St. Benedict at Auburndale has soared into its 25th Anniversary. Of course, The Auburndale School was founded in 1966 and we consider that our true beginning, but the Catholic Diocese of Memphis purchased Auburndale on January 4, 1988 and St. Benedict at Auburndale began, as we know it, that fall. We have experienced so much change and growth since then, but one thing has not changed…the support of our families.

Twenty$25 for Five In Honor of…
Acknowledgement The person you make your gift in honor of will receive a nice acknowledgement card informing them of your kindness. Include a message if you want! It will also be listed in our Annual Report with both of your names. What a thoughtful gesture and fun way to make someone’s day!
Participation This challenge will boost our Annual Fund participation dramatically. Not only through our families, but definitely with our alumni as well!
Giving You are not only giving to our school in a way that will honor someone, but most importantly, you are giving in a way that will help our entire student body. Our Annual Fund is important to the existence of our programs and we can’t thank you enough!
The St. Benedict Annual Fund is a vital part of our school. Not only does it drive some of our main budget needs, it also gives us the necessary subsidy to maintain and enhance our student resources and programs. The 2013-14 Annual Fund is about giving to a school that has come so far in it’s 25 years as a Catholic institution and about making someone feel special in the process. The generous support of SBA donors allows the school to continue to fulfill our mission to mold student leaders, to encourage our out-of-the-box thinkers and to allow our students to flourish in their own ways. The Annual Fund Drive is the most important avenue of giving at SBA. In the spirit of honoring a legacy, we hope that you will consider a contribution to the SBA In Honor of 25 Years Annual Fund. Where blessings are received, blessings are given and we certainly are blessed to be able to work with our wonderful students every day.
