Announcing the 2015 Lumen Civitatis Speaker Series The initial presenter for the 2015 Lumen Civitatis Speaker Series is Archbishop J. Augustine Di Noia, O.P., who is a key contributor to the magisteriums of both Pope St. John Paul II and Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. Archbishop Di Noia, a very important figure in the renewal of moral theology, will give a talk to the public at Christian Brothers University on the legacy of Pope St. John Paul II. “Archbishop Di Noia has done much to lend a proper reading of Pope St. John Paul II’s pivotal encyclical Veritatis Splendor (1993),” offers Father Ben Bradshaw. “I look forward to hearing him.” Lumen Civitatis believes everyone that attends will find that the archbishop is an excellent teacher, makes the teaching very accessible, and is very inspiring. “I heard Archbishop Di Noia some years ago in a very insightful presentation on the Catechism,” says Monsignor Al Kirk. “He is one of the finest minds I have encountered, as well as a forceful speaker.” There is no charge to attend this public talk on Tuesday, April 28 in the theatre at Christian Brothers University, but please visit www.lumencivitatis.com to confirm your attendance so that we can keep tabs on the size of the audience. Light refreshments begin at 5PM followed by the talk at 5:30PM.
