We encourage everyone to go to the website www.ShakeOut.org/centralus . Sponsored by FEMA and other national organizations, this event will cover parts of 11 states in the central United States. The site provides all sorts of information if your home or your business might wish to participate or create a plan of your own for handling such an emergency.
Spring Sports Senior Night All senior athletes who participate in spring sports will be recognized before the Varsity soccer game against Arlington on Monday, May 2 (instead of the original date of April 27). We will host a social event for families of spring sport athletes in the front foyer beside the main office between 5:00 and 7:00 PM. All spring sport athletes and their families will gather at 5:45 beside the concession stand to be introduced before the game. We hope that all families of spring sport athletes are able to attend. All student-athletes must have their Senior Night form on file in the athletic office. Please let us know if you do not plan to attend due to the date change, so we can avoid unnecessary expenses. Game passes will be available for all family members of senior athletes. We look forward to seeing you at Senior Night 2011!

The Commercial Appeal is sponsoring its “MEMPHIS MOST” competition and nominations will be taken through May 9. Please go to memphismost.com and vote for St. Benedict at Auburndale High School in the private school category and continue on to the Bartlett and then Cordova local page to also vote for the best private high school. Certainly, you can vote in other categories, but be sure to vote in these three categories for SBA - only one ballot per person. This process will determine the top nominations and then they will have a final vote. We’ll keep you posted when that process begins. SBA was one of the top schools overall and the top school in Cordova and Bartlett last year. Let’s keep the streak going.
