Teens for Life The Tree of Life near the dining hall has many leaves with new baby items listed. These items can be purchased and placed under the tree and will be distributed between Life Choices and Birthright pregnancy centers. Students registered to go on the pro-life trip to Washington in January are required to participate in two pro-life activities in October. The Tree of Life can be one way and the 40 Days for Life prayerful witness at Planned Parenthood, 2430 Poplar Ave., Sat. Oct 15 from 10-11 am, is another. Parents and other family members are welcome to join us on Saturday and to also join the Tree of Life effort (you don’t have to have a leaf to participate-just purchase the item and get it under the tree). TARGET Card UPDATE In the last 3 weeks, we have added 5 more Target Credit Cards that have designated SBA as their School of Choice!! The Development Office is challenging the parents to try to and raise our number of cards from 55 to 75! Just think about how much money that could raise for SBA. The details of how the program works and how much it has raised so far are on the following page. If you have a Target REDcard (or if you’ve been thinking about getting one), make sure you designate SBA as your School of Choice and help us get to 75 cards!!

Saint Benedict at Auburndale Target REDcard 2011-12 Annual Fund Great News! We received a check from Target’s Take Charge of Education Program for $1,592.60. This is such a great and easy way to beef up our Annual Fund each year. We are thrilled with this gift, but out of curiosity, looked in on our school’s progress using Target’s user-friendly website. Guess what? We only have 50 Target credit cards out there that over a period of time have totaled $19,159.91 in donations over the years. CAN YOU IMAGINE IF WE ALL DESIGNATED SBA ON OUR TARGET CARDS AS OUR SCHOOL OF CHOICE? Who doesn’t go to Target? We are getting settled into the new school year, but are soon to kick-off our Annual Fund drive. If you have a quick second, there are a few scenarios below. What a GREAT way to give to the school, and after the initial sign up, it is effortless. Please consider this super-easy way for SBA to receive a percentage of the amount of each Target purchase you make with your card. If you do not have a Target REDcard, you can click the link below to download the application. https://redcard.target.com/redcard/content/rcw_tck_application If you already have a Target REDcard, you can click the link below and scroll down to the bottom right corner to designate Saint Benedict as your school of choice. https://sites.target.com/site/en/corporate/page.jsp?contentId=PRD03-005174 To see the progress report on our school and how much we have received from the Take Charge of Education program, click this link: https://sites.target.com/site/en/corporate/page.jsp?contentId=PRD03-001919&schoolId=15968

Costume Contest Come dressed as your favorite detective Grandma Rose O'Riley McFadden took the O'Riley recipe for homemade whiskey, handed down to her by her father, and gave it to her husband, He built a distillery, and now Wild Irish Rose Whiskey is one of the top selling brands in the world. The McFadden’s are filthy rich because of the O'Riley family recipe. To make things even worse between the two families, many of the O'Rileys have to work for the McFadden’s at the distillery because there's no other employment in the area. Someone must die, your job is to figure out “who done it.”
