Grades This Week Because of the short week with the Thanksgiving Holiday, Grades will NOT be updated this week. The next time they will be updated will be on Friday, November 30th.

Spirit Shop As Christmas gets closer, and closer, what better gift than to give some SBA spirit gear!! Don’t forget that the Spirit Shop is open during all three lunches EVERY Thursday at school.

They will also be open for business at the home basketball games against Bartlett on Friday, November 30th You can also order online and pick it up at school by visiting the Spirit Shop on our website at www.sbaeagles.org/store

SGA Can Food Drive The SGA Can Food Drive is in full swing now! The drive will officially end on Friday, November 30th, so there are still many opportunities over the coming to weeks to donate can food to the drive. Some highlights of those opportunities are listed below

Monday, November 19th – Jazz & Soul Band Concert – 7:00PM in the Theater; Can Food Donations will be accepted at the door.

Friday, November 30th – JEANS DAY!! We will be having a $1 Jeans day with all proceeds going to the Food Drive

“Back Pack” Program – In addition to can foods, SGA is supporting the “Back Pack” program! Some children are only getting one meal a day – the meal that the school provides. So, the “Back Pack” Program looks to collect smaller foods (think Ramen, Cup O Soup, Easy Mac, etc.) that could be taken home to prepare. There is a metal bin in the foyer for students to donate to this cause.

Simple Ways to Help….

You wouldn’t BELIEVE the difference it makes!

SBA Eagle Bucks Gift Card Program The SBA Eagle Bucks Program allows you to earn money for our school programs while shopping! Just buy your gift cards from us! They will make GREAT Christmas gifts! To place your order, you can fill out the form on our website sbaeagles.org or you can stop by the office for a form. We have many gift cards in stock in the office, but orders are placed on a weekly basis. SBA receives a percentage of the sale of the gift card.

Kroger Community Rewards If you shop at Kroger, you more than likely have a Kroger Plus card on your keychain. If you go to Kroger.com and create an account using your Plus number, you can select St. Benedict at Auburndale as your Community Rewards Program organization of choice. A portion of every shopping trip you make using your Kroger Plus card will then go to SBA!

Target REDcard Program Target’s Take Charge of Education Program donates millions of dollars to education each year by giving 1% of your purchases at Target back to your eligible school. Please designate SBA as your school of choice for their Take Charge of Education program. It is easy and very effective. Apply in the store or go online to Target.com/tcoe.

Coke Rewards for Schools Program Purchase your favorite Coca-Cola products to get the codes. Go to mycokerewards.com/school and sign in or register to become a member. Enter your codes to get points and then search for our school to donate points. St. Benedict can accumulate points and then choose items for our classrooms from their online catalog.

For more information on any of these easy ways to help SBA, please contact the Development Office at 260-2892 or email regisl@sbaeagles.org. Every bit counts and it all adds up, so thank you for your participation in any of these programs that benefit our school.

NEWS FROM HOME AND SCHOOL Happy Thanksgiving! Hoping everyone enjoys the Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends.

We are in need of help with our Annual Fashion Show coming up in February. Each year we have many themed baskets for our participants to try and win. Some of this year’s themes are: Cooking, Gardening, Summertime Fun, Mom’s Day Out, Dad’s Day Off, Tailgate, Date Night and Gift Tree. We’ll have others as well, but are in need of help in stocking these baskets. While you are out doing any Black Friday shopping, think of us and pick up a gift card or an item that you think might be fun for these baskets. It’s a great way to help our cause for the Annual Fund! Also, any businesses interested in sponsoring the event or donating items for our raffle baskets, please contact Romy Schaaf at rbschaaf64@att.net or by phone at 901.359.7821.
