The NEST Dedication This Friday, Jan 17 at 7pm, before the CBHS game, SBA will dedicate a tradition that was started by Gerold Blum (SBA Class of 13). Gerold was a big part of making THE NEST what it is today. He started a tradition of "Parting the Nest" which is pictured on the back of our dedication t-shirt. Plans are to hang a large jersey in memory of Gerold over the student section and to hang a plaque commemorating the tradition in his name at the gym door. We have some very special things planned and would like to invite students, alumni, and any friends and family who can attend. SBA students have been ordering their t-shirts during lunch, but if any alumni or friends would like to pre-order a t-shirt, please send an email to regisl@sbaeagles.org by Tuesday morning (1/14) with your name, the size, longsleeve or short-sleeve and if you will pick it up and pay for it at the game or in the school office on Thursday or Friday. Short sleeve shirts are $8 and long sleeve shirts are $10. Proceeds from the shirt will go to the SBA Make-A-Wish Club who will be granting a wish at the end of the year in Gerold's memory. We also have a webpage with this information if you need to access it at http://www.sbaeagles.org/thenestdedication

Winter Wonderland Formal The cheer squad is having a fundraiser formal dance next Sunday 19th from 8-11 at the Cordova Community Center to raise money for Nationals. Tickets will be sold this week during lunch for $10 per person / $15 couple. Tickets at the door will be $15 per person. The theme is "Winter Wonderland" and it should be a great time. There will be plenty of parent chaperones and security present. (This is not a school sponsored event so there will not be school personnel chaperoning.) Once the kids enter the dance, they will not be allowed to re-enter for any reason. SBA students are invited and bring a date of their choice. Soft drinks and bottled water will be sold. Also, there will be a professional photographer there for pictures. The cost for the pictures will be $20 for 2 poses and they will receive a disk so they can print all of the pictures they wish. A great DJ is lined up and the cheer squad encourages everyone to participate.
