An email will be sent today, Monday, March 17, with a link to the online enrollment form (ENROLLMENT FORM 2014-2015). Please open the email, click on this link, and complete/update the online form with your child's demographic information. The final step is to submit the form and pay (online) the $250 enrollment fee. The deadline to complete the online form is Wednesday, March 19, 2014 (at midnight the link will expire). After Wednesday, for any families not registered, the enrollment fee will increase to $350.

Mother/Son Dinner Mother/Son Dinner Evites have been sent out. Please send your payment of $65 to the front office at SBA. We are looking forward to a memorable evening. Please contact Kristin Schween at 901-240-3604 with any questions.

SBA Annual Fund Phone-A-Thon To help us reach our participation goal for the Annual Fund, we will be conducting a phone-a-thon in April and reaching out to those families who have not yet participated. We think that with our challenge of $25 for 25 years, this task will be fun and easy. If you have not yet given to the SBA Annual Fund, we ask you to please consider a gift. Our Annual Fund is vital to our school and every dollar counts. You can give online at www.sbaeagles.org/donate or you can send your donation in to the front office. Thank you so much!

Vote for SBA! First Tennessee Bank is celebrating it's 150th Anniversary and beginning on March 25th, the First Tennessee Foundation will give away $5,000 a day for 150 days to non-profits that they have been associated with over the last 6 years. THIS INCLUDES US. We have to VOTE though. You can vote daily from TWO devices, so please click the link on your computer and on your phone or tablet. We can vote each day through the end of the celebration, which is August 21st. You can actually vote for TEN non-profits each time if you want to - the list is LONG. Our daily votes will add up and hopefully we will be one of the recipients! Thank you for your assistance! This link goes STRAIGHT to our page. It is very easy. Copy and paste into your browser: http://www.150daysofgiving.com/?query=&startName=S&offset=36&max=12

The First Tennessee 150 Days of Giving guidelines are at the end of Monday Mail if you would like more information on this program.

A MESSAGE FROM BISHOP STEIB Hello to all the Eagles in “the Nest.” I am sorry that I can’t be with you in person today, because it’s my pleasure to tell you that SBA has been selected by the National Shrine of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC as one of their Charity and Social Service Honorees. The video that you submitted on your annual service and charity was one of only five videos in the country that were selected. Because of his involvement in editing and working on the video, senior, Chris Schuhlein will represent us in Washington when the Basilica presents the Service Honors Medal on March 29. So, Eagles, with all the service you have given each year in so many ways- to name a few – Food Bank collections, Blood Drives, leading the nation in the March for Life and so many, many more – I have asked your principal, Mrs. Morris, to give you an extra day off from school. This privilege will be extended on Easter Monday, April 21. Again, thank you for being the light to so many in need and we congratulate You on this prestigious honor. So, all of us in the Catholic Diocese of Memphis are very proud of you. GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME, AND ALL THE TIME, GOD IS GOOD!

ENROLLING with FACTS is as easy as ABC… A) If you have a FACTS agreement with SBA for the 13/14 school year your agreement WILL roll over to 14/15- YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING UNLESS YOU WANT CHANGES IN DATES, BANK ACCOUNTS ETC. West Side Story Book by Arthur Laurents, music by Leonard Bernstein, and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim This 1957 Tony Award-winning musical, that spawned a 1961 Academy Award-winning film, transformed Broadway and the world with its iconic songs, haunting score, soaring dance routines and uplifting message. Inspired by impeccable source material, William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, the story centers on a racial and territorial conflict on the streets of New York between two rival gangs: the Jets and the Sharks. While their friends and family battle each other an their own prejudices, a "starcross'd" couple with stark cultural differences, Maria and Tony, find each other and an unlikely love amidst the chaos. The SBA production will stay true to the original masterpiece, while attempting to augment the story by featuring some average New Yorkers in the cast who get caught up in the rage-filled world of these rival gangs. "When people are blinded by hate, everyone suffers, even innocent bystanders, so we want to show the larger world of New York a little, outside of the characters everyone knows," said director Ryan Kathman. Voting will open March 10. Votes will continue to count throughout the 150 Days of Giving. Once a nonprofit wins, we’ll indicate that on our site so you’ll know you can use one of your 10 daily votes for another organization you want to support. Your votes will continue to count throughout the 150 Days of Giving, until your organization wins or the 150 Days of Giving ends. We’ll announce winners for each day of the 150 Days of Giving – from March 25 until August 21. The organizations that are eligible are the nonprofits the First Tennessee Foundation has supported since 2008 – through either a direct grant or a matching gift for one of our employee’s donations. So more than 1,000 nonprofits working to make our communities better and stronger are eligible. Of course the winning organization must still meet the First Tennessee Foundation guidelines to receive a grant in the 150 Days of Giving. And when it’s all over, we’ll bring the nonprofit winners together so we can thank them for the work they do and present all those $5,000 checks. It will be a real party, you can be sure. And then we’ll get back to work making First Tennessee one of the best banks in the country for the next 150 years.
