SBA Summer Camps
SBA Summer Camp registration is still open. We have a lot to offer! Volleyball – July 6-10, Soccer – July 13-17, Band/Jazz & Jam – July 27-31 If you know anyone interested, please ask them to check out our brochure and all other information at www.sbaeagles.org/summercamps
Biking for Babies pro-life group is riding through Memphis on Tue, July 14, stopping at St. Benedict High School for Mass @ 6:00 pm, followed by dinner and to sleep. This is a young, primarily Catholic, group raising awareness about pro-life issues and funds for pregnancy resource centers. The public is invited to Mass and dinner, but requested to bring a bread, salad or dessert to share. Please RSVP Sharon Masterson, mastersons@sbaeagles.org or 260-2871. SBA Students are encouraged to attend. For those students going on the March for Life Trip to Washington in January, attendance will count for one of their requirements. JOIN US!
MARK YOUR CALENDAR! Important Dates for 2015-16 LAPTOP DISTRIBUTION Laptop distribution sessions will be held on the following dates:
July 27, 28, 29, 30 (9am and 6pm) and July 31 (9am) August 3, 4, 5 (9am and 6pm) and August 6 (1pm and 6pm)
In order for your child to receive his/her laptop, each student, and at least one parent, will be required to attend one of these sessions. An email will be sent for you to select your session date and time. Each session is limited to 50 students. As a reminder, when you receive your MacBook Air, you will also receive an approved laptop bag that is required to carry the laptop. Optional hard cases will be available for sale at each session. SOAR DAY Registration Day is changing its name! SOAR- Student Organizations and Registration - will be held on Tuesday, August 11. There are 2 sessions: • •
Morning session Evening session
8:30 am-11:30 am in the gym 5:00 pm-6:30 pm in the gym
Parent Meetings will be held after SOAR at 11:45 am and 6:45 pm in the theater. A registration packet will be emailed later in the summer with forms and information you will need for that day. BACK TO SCHOOL ORIENTATION New this year, all students will be required to attend a first day of school orientation. The schedule is as follows: Thursday, August 13

SUMMER MATH PACKETS We are pleased to offer each student who is enrolled in Algebra I, Geometry or Algebra II the opportunity to prepare for his/her upcoming course. This is an optional packet that may be substituted for a quiz grade if it is successfully completed. Each student need only complete the one packet for the course he/she is registered. Students should bring their completed packet with them the first day of school for submission. The packets will be available June 10 on the website.
NEWS FROM HOME & SCHOOL Welcome to Renae McElwain and Kelli Grissom as Home & School President and Co-President for the 2015-16 school year. Both are already actively involved and very capable of leading our organization. Lien Nguyen will be our new secretary and Alison Barczak will continue on as Treasurer. Watch our Facebook page this summer for news and information.
