Registration Day We will be e-mailing our Registration Day packet the first of August. You will have the opportunity to review it online and all the enclosures prior to our Registration Day. The Registration Day packet materials will also be available on our website.

First Days of School The First Day of School for all NEW students in grades 9-12 is Monday, August 19. This first day will be “Orientation Day” and a half day of school. The day will begin at 7:45 am with 12:15 pm dismissal. Bell rings at 7:45! School begins for all returning students on Tuesday, August 20.

Academic News Don’t forget that summer reading requirements are listed on the SBA website. Click on the “Students” tab then the “Summer Reading Requirements” tab. All grade levels have one required book and several available for extra credit. All Advanced Placement students have additional reading requirements. Incoming Algebra I students were emailed a packet to help prepare them for the fall. We highly encourage students to complete the packet which may be substituted for a Math quiz grade. The online bookstore is now open! All textbook numbers are listed as well.


COMMUNITY NEWS SECTION


St. Ann Parish will host a stop for the pro-life group Biking for Babies. Each year, Biking for Babies does a long distance bike trip and raises money for!Women's Pregnancy Centers. A look at ours centers can be found on!their website, www.bikingforbabies.com. This year they are stopping in the Memphis area at our parish on Tuesday, July 9th. We will celebrate a special Mass for the group at 5:15 pm in St. Joachim Chapel, followed at 6:00 pm with a hot dog and hamburger dinner with a presentation in McGivney Hall by members of the group on their prolife activities and their experiences on the ride. All are invited to attend. Attendance is free, though the group will accept donations at the time of the presentation. Food and drink will be provided by Helping Hands ministry; if you'd like to bring a potluck item or a dessert, please reply to this Flocknote, or contact Deacon Chip at chip.jones@stann.cdom.org, or Susan Hunt at susan.hunt@stann.cdom.org. This is an excellent opportunity to bear witness to a culture of life. We hope to see you there!
