NHS Tutoring The National Honor Society NOW HAS a tutoring table set up during all 3 lunch periods EVERY Wednesday for anyone who needs help. Please encourage your student to take advantage of this service.
Reminder to all parents: By 3:30 each school day - all students need to be with a teacher, with a coach, in the library, or leaving campus. Please make the necessary arrangements.
Reminder from our business office(As noted on page 19 in the St. Benedict Student/Parent handbook.)
Tuition Students whose accounts are in arrears are subject to being prohibited from taking exams. Outstanding financial obligations will prohibit the school from releasing grades/transcripts. According to TSSAA rules, any student athlete whose tuition account is more than 60 days in arrears is automatically ineligible from participating. If there are extenuating circumstances that prevent a family from following the tuition schedules, these circumstances must be discussed with the Business Office before the scheduled due date of the tuition payment. Please email our business office at hurtk@sbaeagles.org if you need to request an updated tuition statement or sign on to your FACTS agreement to review your payment plan.

Wednesday, November 12 is the 1 Signing Day for Student-Athletes Signing in 2014-15 and Enrolling in College in 2015-16 !!
Each year we get to celebrate the success of our students in so many ways. Some of our student/athletes even get to "sign" with a college. And when they do, it's always been fun to have family and friends - and cake. We follow the NCAA National of Letter of Intent (NLI) Signing Dates Calendar to recognize these athletes. The dates for this year: November 12, February 4 and April 15. The signing “parties are held immediately after school on those dates in the front foyer outside the main office. November 12 is our first signing day this year and is an early signing for all sports, particularly basketball. Students and/or parents should contact their coach and Sports Information Director Sharon Masterson at mastersons@sbaeagles.org; 260-2871, to set up a signing party. !
Student Transcript Requests The deadline to submit transcript requests for Nov. 15th is Wed. November 12th and the deadline for December 1st is Nov. 22nd. The Dec. 1st deadline falls the Monday after Thanksgiving so it is extremely important that students stay on top of this. Students must be proactive and NOT wait until the last minute to apply.

SPARK Award Finalist! St. Benedict has been notified that we are a finalist for the prestigious Spark Awards in the education category. 2011 alum Taylor Seaman, currently at CBU, is also a finalist in the individual collegiate category-well deserved, too. Check out their Facebook page for information. https://www.facebook.com/thesparktv In a letter that Mrs. Morris recently received, The committee said, "Congratulations! St. Benedict at Auburndale High School was not only nominated, but has been selected as a FINALIST for The SPARK Awards! Produced in partnership with WKNO-TV, the Lipscomb Pitts Breakfast Club, Media Source, and The Rotary Club of Memphis, The SPARK Awards is a televised awards show celebrating individuals, nonprofits, corporations, and schools – in 13 different categories – who are igniting change and making a difference in our community. The SPARK Awards is an extension of our WKNO-TV monthly series, The SPARK. Nominations came from the public and were made from August 15, 2014 to September 15, 2014. The Rotary Club of Memphis narrowed down the nominations and selected THREE Finalists per category to be invited to a special awards luncheon on Friday, November 21 from 12 PM to 1:30 PM at the Memphis Botanic Garden. The winners will be announced at the luncheon, which will be taped for broadcast on WKNO/Channel 10 on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 8 PM." You Rock, Eagle Nation! Thank you!
