Main areas Resource effective water treatment Includes the optimisation of existing treatment processes, process control and measurement techniques, treatment of secondary flows and more.
The activities at the facility contribute to more effective technologies/methods as well as to the implementation of new sustainable technologies/methods that reduce the climate impact and resource use in WWTP.
Energy and climate Focus on the production of energy from waste water/sludge through increased biogas production, alternative fuels and reuse of waste heat. Complementary water treatment (polishing) Removal of heavy metals, pharmaceutical residues, personal hygiene products and disease-generation micro-organisms. Development of new innovative processes and technologies. Sewage system Issues related to the sewerage system and pollution sources, and causes of breakdowns in WWTP.
