Leadership in Action

SBF conducts research, convenes stakeholders, and cultivates relationships — among government, business, education, nonprofits, funders, and individuals who share their lived experience — to identify and respond to critical issues in Santa Barbara County.

In 2022, we convened a Digital Equity Coalition to address a growing digital divide that results from issues around internet affordability, technology access, and digital literacy. (See page 16 to learn more.)

We also spearheaded the Central Coast Community Health Worker and Promotores Capacity Building Collaborative to support and increase capacity among communitybased health workers and promotores, who provide wellness support from education to help navigating the health care system for marginalized community members. (See page 18 for details.)

The SBF team — staff and Trustees — is honored to serve as a trusted resource when Santa Barbara County faces and seeks solutions to complex issues that affect us as individuals and as a community.
