This past year has proven to be quite a challenge with the throes of COVID-19. Despite the solitude and separation anxiety some of us may have faced, our appreciation for inperson activities and the “human connection”, perhaps previously taken for granted, was made more evident.
The night of July 20, 2021 highlights our chapter’s first step back into what we consider “normal” as we hosted our first educational dinner (and in-person event) in over a year. We were fortunate and privileged to have Paul Reinbach, a Pharmaceutical Representative from Amgen and longtime supporter of our chapter, and Richard Wright, MD, FACC, a renowned cardiologist and guest speaker, join us to sponsor our chapter and talk about evolocumab (Repatha®). L’Opera Ristorante served to be an excellent place for us to congregate, keeping our attendees happy and well-fed with their decadent Italian fare.
This educational dinner is not only a new beginning to an exciting year to come, but also a reminder of the good times we have had in the past and the memories we will foster moving forward through our future events and meetings. Cheers to being “present” and for those unable to make it this time around, keep your eyes peeled for upcoming opportunities to join us!
