The 17th Annual Magellan Circle Virtual Celebration Program

THE 17 TH ANNUAL MAGELLAN CIRCLE VIRTUAL CELEBRATION THURSDAY, APRIL 22, 2021 | 5 - 6 PM (AZ TIME)

In the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences, we study people — their thoughts and beliefs, speech and behavior, texts and languages, histories and geography, societies and cultures, organizations and institutions, and built and natural environments. We are “The People College.” The Magellan Circle is named after Ferdinand Magellan, the Portuguese explorer who led the first circumnavigation of the globe. One might argue that what we today call “globalization” began in large measure with his voyage from 1519 to 1522.
