Heritage Center Visiting Exhibition Gallery
In commemoration of the 100-year anniversary of the Rosewood Massacre, the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum in Miami presented An Elegy to Rosewood in early 2023. The Hannibal Square Heritage Center is honored to be the first stop on its state-wide tour. Through historic and modern photographs, digital materials, and memorials commemorating the massacre, this remarkable exhibition will be presented through the lens of women, who were critical in preserving Rosewood’s history, as well as the contemporary lens of female-identifying artists based in Miami.

Showalter Hughes Community Gallery
In this bi-annual exhibition, emerging artists from Crealdé’s painting and drawing disciplines share their talent in work produced during their programs. The Crealdé Fellowship Program, since 1978, and the Studio Artist Program, since 1996, have mentored an average of 25 students per year through this workstudy exchange. The work of these artists is also a testament to the dedication of Crealdé’s faculty mentors and talent of these emerging artists.

38th Annual Cup-A-Thon
Fri. & Sat. August 4 & 5, 2023 | 7–10pm
For nearly four decades, this summer social, hosted by Vincent Sansone, Senior Faculty Member and former Ceramics Studio and Program Manager, brings smart shoppers and collectors to the main campus to browse through hundreds of one-of-a-kind ceramic cups, bowls, and other vessels handmade by Crealdé instructors, artists, students, and friends. As the tradition goes, buy a cup or goblet and it will be filled. Proceeds benefit upgrades to the Ceramics studio and kilns.
41st Summer ArtCamp Exhibition

Since 1982, Crealdé has presented an annual exhibition featuring works of art from the 400 Summer ArtCamp participants, ages 4–17. It is curated by Crealdé’s Summer ArtCamp Faculty.

Alice & William Jenkins Gallery
This favorite annual exhibition features some of the year’s best student work in painting, drawing, digital and film photography, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, and fiber arts. Works are selected by Crealdé’s program managers and awarded by a guest juror. Opening reception follows the Annual Membership Meeting and award ceremony.
8th Annual Juneteenth Celebration in Hannibal Square

In commemoration of “Juneteenth,” the Hannibal Square Heritage Center will host the eighth annual Juneteenth Celebration: Knowing, Remembering and Shifting the Narrative at the Winter Park Community Center, adjacent to the Heritage Center. The event commemorates the ending of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865 nearly two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation, Union soldiers, led by Major General Gordon Granger, landed at Galveston, Texas with news that the war had ended and that the enslaved were now free. The celebration and observance will feature distinguished guests speakers from the Real Rosewood Foundation and the Frost Museum in Miami. All are welcome. Refund/Withdrawal Policies
In order to maintain the quality of our programs, we require minimum number of enrolled students. Therefore, the following policies are in place for refunds, transfers, and withdrawals:
Classes
A transfer, withdrawal, credit, or refund must be requested 7 days prior to the first day of the session (see session dates above) by contacting the main office at 407-671 -1886 during business hours or email registration@crealde.org. Requests made less than 7 days before the first day of the session are not eligible. Class credits expire after one year. These policies apply regardless of attendance status.
Workshops
All workshop registration deadlines are at least one week prior to the workshop date. Registration deadlines for visiting artist workshops will vary. If withdrawal is made prior to deadline, student is eligible for a full refund. No refunds or credits will be made after the registration deadline.
Jewelry & Glass
Intro to Jewelry Design & Fabrication

Learn concepts for basic and advanced jewelry fabrication. Become familiar with essential silversmithing skills and methods of cutting, forging, embossing, and all the fundamentals of soldering techniques. Students are given the instructions and tools to make finger rings, earrings, bracelets, and other forms of jewelry. Copper materials will be provided for use in class. Students wanting to work in silver should bring their own silver supply.

Sculpture Repoussé

Metal sculpture is known as Repoussé, which is working the metal directly to create relief sculptures without molds. Participants will learn the technique in small scale to learn the fundamental steps and tools for metal embossing. Repoussé is embossing relief sculptures and have endless design possibilities for sculptural jewelry and metalsmithing, relief murals, doors, mirrors, etc. Emphasis on using your personal drawings and ideas, working with handmade punches to move the metal, for creating relief dimension.
