If you’ve been involved in volunteerism at home or are interested in becoming a more active force for positive change, SCAD SERVE provides a fantastic opportunity for engagement in the university and local communities. Religious Life Community Service SCAD SERVE empowers the SCAD community to listen to the needs of its neighbors and local leaders, and to create meaningful design solutions that improve quality of life. In the university’s hometowns of Atlanta and Savannah, SCAD SERVE focuses on four critical areas of need: food, shelter, clothing, and the environment. From serving meals to children in need and redesigning efficient and respectful clothing closets for the homeless, to repairing and painting homes in low-income neighborhoods to cleaning and caring for local canals and waterways, SCAD SERVE leverages our students’ creative thinking and positive energy to make a difference in the lives of those within our communities.

Students of all faiths have many opportunities for involvement in religious life. Student religious organizations include InterVarsity, as well as numerous college ministries through local congregations. Many of these provide worship and fellowship, retreats, volunteer service, and more.

STUDENT MEDIA SCAD student media sponsors a student-run online newspaper, feature magazine, and internet radio station. SCAD student media groups have earned awards from the Associated Collegiate Press, the College Media Association, the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, and the Georgia College Press Association. 404.253.3285 | SCAD House residence hall
