Good Night God

THE BEGINNING Genesis 1-3

In the beginning, before anything was made, God was here. He had so much love to give that He decided to make people with whom He could share His love.

4

As a home, He made the world and everything in it—from mice to mountains and from peanuts to people.

5

The first people were Adam and Eve. They enjoyed life with God in His garden. He gave them everythingand also some rules to follow. Sadly, they broke the rules, and God had to send them away. But God had a plan to bring them back to Him again.

6

Good night Adam and Eve, and good night God. 7

NOAH’S ARK Genesis 6-8

Many years after Adam and Eve left God’s garden, God saw that all the people on earth were evil. In fact, there was only one good man in the whole world, and his name was Noah. So, God told Noah to build a big boat to keep him and his family and the animals safe.

8

God would send a flood to wash away all the evil from the world. 9

God let it rain and rain and rain until the earth was covered with water. When the water finally dried up, God put a rainbow in the sky as a promise not to send a flood like this again.

10

Good night Noah and Noah’s family and the animals, and good night God. 11

ABRAHAM Genesis 15-21

A long time after Noah and the ark, God spoke to another man, named Abraham. He had everything he could wish for, except a child. He wanted a child more than anything. God had good plans for Abraham and promised him a son.

12

It seemed impossible because Abraham and his wife Sarah were too old to have children. 13

But God kept His promise, and Abraham and Sarah had a son. They named him Issac, which means ‘‘laughter." God made sure Abraham’s family grew and grew, with many, many grandkids and great-grandkids.

14

Good night Abraham and Sarah and Isaac, and good night God. 15

JOSEPH Genesis 37-47

One of Abraham’s great-great-grandkids was Joseph. Joseph’s father, Jacob, loved him, but his brothers hated him. Joseph’s brothers sold him to some strangers, who took him to another country as a slave.

16

There, God used Joseph to tell the king what to do when famine struck. Joseph’s help saved a lot of people. 17

Joseph loved God, so he didn’t hold a grudge against his brothers. He forgave them and even helped them get food for their families. The king liked Joseph and gave him and his family the best place to live in the whole country.

18

Good night Joseph and Joseph’s brothers and the king, and good night God. 19

MOSES Exodus 2-14

Later, God used a man named Moses to save a lot of people, too. But before Moses could do this, he himself needed to be saved from an evil king. Moses’ mom put him in the river in a floating basket. The princess found him there!
