At one with nature. To cool and dry the air quickly, air conditioning is available for both manual and automatic climate systems. Auxiliary heaters are primarily intended for heating the cab when the engine is switched off, but can also provide extra heating while the truck is on the move. They come in a variety of forms for different conditions: • Short-stop heater. Keeps the cab air warm with the engine switched off, for up to up to 1 hour and 45 minutes. A healthy working environment. With every Scania cab, there is a sense of quality in the air. It is a matter of comfort and safety in the workplace. The heating and ventilation systems on all cabs have been developed to provide fast demisting and an even distribution of temperature. The ventilation systems can change all the air very quickly even in the largest cab, ensuring a constant supply of fresh air to keep the driver alert. On the road, extra ventilation and auxiliary heaters can provide added comfort to adapt to any environment.

Everything in its right place. Whether business is close to home or far and away, Scania cabs are built for a comfortable life on the road. Intuitive placing of storage facilities all around the driver keeps things at an arm’s length – always within reach, never in the way. Additional space can be found in many locations inside the cab, and there are a number of storage options to tailor the cab to specific needs – from personal items and special equipment to a fitted kitchen. With everything in place, make yourself at home.
Intuitive placing of the dashboard and door pockets provide several good storage possibilities close at hand. Cup and bottle holders supply secure locations while driving.
SCANIA INTERIOR
Space and comfort all around. There are storage slots to keep things handy all around. The space above the door provides room for storage bins. The rear wall storage in sleeper cabs has a space in the centre under the bed with drawers. Other areas under the bed are reached by lifting the bed, or from the external storage compartments if ďŹ tted. The passenger seat can be folded down to provide a at bedside table. The space under the bed can be used for storage or a refrigerator. In all R-series sleeper cabs, a removable divider splits the refrigerator into a freezer refrigerator compartment, enabling you to take your home comforts on the road.
The instrument panel’s passenger side provides a closed compartment for travel documents and other essentials needed on the road. An optional folding table also provides a smooth, prepared surface for working and eating.
30-31
Practical for day to day business. Scania day and short cabs are generously proportioned to give plenty of space around the driver. Storage equipment between the seats and on the rear wall makes it possible for a variety of personal items to be directly accessible from the driver area. Scania day and short cabs have four storage options: 1. The storage module on the rear wall has two compartments. 2. An open storage unit between the seats for easy access, perfect for the driver’s everyday things. 3. A closed drawer, easily accessible from the driver’s area, keeps all personal items like keys, wallet and mobile phone safe, secure and handy when needed. 4. A refrigerator with lid is an option to keep the energy level high throughout the workday.

Rest assured. With Scania, life on the road is nothing to loose sleep over. On the contrary, it is what many dreams are made of. The importance of a thoroughly rested driver is well established, and you can rest assured. A wide range of bed options, with world-class comfort and quality makes sleeping on the job good business for all operators away from home.
The bed range offers outstanding comfort, both with the standard mattress and of course with the unique top-of-the-line extendable bed. This bed with a 155 mm pocket spring mattress can easily be adjusted up to 90 cm of width and remain made until it is time to rest. For the R-series sleeper cabs, an extra mattress pad can be ordered as an option for the lower bed. The mattress can be turned over for two separate functions – one side for extra sleeping comfort, the other mainly for protecting the spring mattress and resting.

A wider perspective. With a perspective from all angles you see things differently. From the inside of a Scania cab, large windows and narrow A-pillars provide panoramic views to the right, left and centre. Adjustable mirrors and cameras around the cab help you keep a close eye at the back, sides and front at all times.

A black contrast tape can be routed from the A-pillar and up around the door windows. This style option enhances the shape. With the grille and windscreen it creates that distinctive look of the Scania cab. The tape also covers the surface where Emergency braking
the side windows are fitted, if these are not specified.
Lane departure warning
An active safety approach. With a focus on preventing accidents instead of just minimising their effects, Scania offers a variety of hightech support systems. Lane departure warning is practical aid that warns the driver if the vehicle is about to cross the road markings. The system automatically detects the road markings and advises the driver when the vehicle combination is too close to the oncoming lane or ditch markings. Collision warning and emergency braking are automated systems that help the driver avoid collisions. The truck scans the road ahead and if there is a risk of collision, the driver is alerted. If the speed is not reduced, the system automatically brakes to prevent an impact. Adaptive cruise control assists the driver to maintain a constant time gap to vehicles in front. It can be set with time gaps in five stages, and uses engine, retarder and service brake to maintain the set distance. The driver receives warning in the display when the distance to the vehicle in front is too small, even if cruise control is not activated.
Adaptive cruise control
An integrated sun visor protects from direct sunlight at the side. There are two different interior side sun visors to choose from – a folding version fitted in a panel above the door, or a blind fitted on the door and out of the way when climbing in and out. The blind covers the whole width of the window. A sun visor fitted above the windscreen on the outside comes as standard.

SCANIA EXTERIOR
In great shape. In full view, it is plain to see that form and function goes a long way. Every line and curve is there for a reason. All cabs are aerodynamically at one with nature, designed for a better environment in and outside of the cab. A variety of lights for different conditions position every Scania cab as a shining example along the way. And with built-in, ergonomic access to cab, storage and daily vehicle checks from the outside, it is safe to say that every detail adds up to something great. To look at. To experience. And it all makes sense. What you see is what you get – a cab in perfect shape for an ultimate performance, day and night.
40-41
SCANIA EXTERIOR
An irresistible force of nature. To handle airflow, a narrower front compared to rear creates a wedge-shape that reduces drag. Smooth, large and radius curves surround the cab to handle cross winds. Roof and side air deflectors effectively lead air along the sides of the vehicle, and make way for better fuel economy and an improved environment.
The roof air deflectors are available in 7 cm and 27 cm.
The side air deflectors are available in 13 cm, 43 cm and 51 cm width. The 43 cm and 51 cm side air deflectors can be equipped with a lower extension.
Side skirts are available for a wide range of tractor combinations and comes in in two versions and heights, 58 or 73 cm.
42-43
Top of the roof provides a great platform for different use. Roof rails can be fitted on both sides and run from the front to the rear – perfect for beacons and other equipment. Fitted on the rails, the roof rack is robust, made of steel and can carry loads up to 200 kg.
With safety first. All Scania bumpers are designed and integrated for optimum aerodynamics and safety. Depending on the specification and operation, there are four types of bumpers available. Low, high and protruding 50 mm bumper with additional beam fulfills the front underrun protection demands.
Low bumper
Low bumpers are made to fit higher chassis. High bumpers are best suited for lower chassis. Protruding bumpers 130 mm is high-mounted and all in steel, fitted ahead of the vehicle. SCANIA EXTERIOR
The direction of the roof sign illumination varies depending on cab height. Topline cabs light up the large space above the windscreen, and provide a perfect stage to put a company logotype in the spotlight. In lower cabs, the light is directed towards the air roof deflectors.
Two rotating beacons can also be mounted on an aluminium bar on the roof. This is particularly useful in construction, and makes the vehicle visible even in angles from above on site.
There are four types of light combinations available in the refined sun visor, with the endoutline marker lamps as standard on all cabs. Three lamps in the middle of the sun visor are identification lights to indicate a certain type of vehicle depending on national requirements – size and weight for example. To further increase the field of vision, two rectangular spot lamps can be fitted in the external sun visor. Their high location illuminates barriers on the road, such as high banks. The sun visor can be gotten in any choosen cab colour, either fully or partly painted.
Tail light alternatives now include LED-lights as factory option. LED lasts longer than ordinary light bulbs, thus increases overall uptime. It is also more efficient, and over time it helps to save important drops of fuel. Taillights with ordinary light bulbs are also available.
44-45
A guiding light. Correct lighting is of course a matter of safety on the road. For you and others. And all Scania cabs carry the lights to lead in every direction. At the same time, it shows character. It is easy to see how a Scania cab stands out in many ways.

Always at your service. Checking the vehicle before going on the road provides a safe work environment. With easy access to all checking points, exterior inspections can be carried out with quality and comfort. And surrounded by external storage spaces and easy cab entry, driver convenience is clear to see.
For easy inspections behind the cab, a boarding step can be ďŹ tted in connection to both door handles. This option also comes with handles on the roof and back of the cab for maximum convenience.
46-47
The whole front panel is surprisingly light and easy to lift up. From here, it is possible to check all fluid levels and there is easy access to the air filter. Electrical fuses and relays are accessed from inside the cab, where they are safe and secure from moisture and dirt. The G- and R-series sleeper cabs give access from both sides of the cab to a large external storage compartment under the bed. This is equipped with lighting and provides a secure out-of-sight place for bulky equipment, cleaning materials, tools or personal items.
Depending on the height of the cab, the boarding steps come in two or three steps. Every step has a non-slip surface and is spaced to provide safe and ergonomic entry into the cab. For high chassis working in tough conditions a flexible boarding step can be attached to simplify entry. Boarding step lights lead the way in the dark. The design, position and colour of the grab handles inside the cab, makes climbing in and out quick, easy and safe.
The cab’s lower front grille panel opens up to provide a uniquely sturdy platform on which to stand when cleaning the windscreen, camera and auxiliary lights. Vehicles fitted with the 130 mm protruding bumper have an even more robust design, with an integrated footstep to stand on. These vehicles are also fitted with assisting handles below the windscreen for reach and stability.

SCANIA CREW CABS
When everything counts. Crew cabs are designed primarily for utility and emergency vehicles, where time and space is of the essence. There are two Scania crew cabs, the largest ďŹ tting up to nine people in total. With a job to carry many people and special tools when every second counts, these cabs offer the same comfort and safety standards as any other Scania cab. The unique backseat doors also open a purposefully equipped interior.
50-51
A crew cab for up to six people has a rear bench seat for four. The long crew cab has extra space to ďŹ t seats facing backwards behind the driver and front passenger. In both, rear passengers have their own doors on each side for quick exit and an easy two step-entry that can be folded up.
Crew cabs have a second row of lockers for passengers under the rear seat. These can be adapted to carry powered accessories. For ďŹ re appliances, secure grab rails provide extra safety at high speed. Optional cab heater and air conditioning can be installed to ensure best comfort.
