Introduction:
Scania Driver Familiarisation courses are bespoke, depending upon customer’s vehicle type and operation and are designed to benefit both customer and driver alike. With fuel cost, damage and vehicle downtime being of paramount importance today, many customers now have their own trainers and assessors. Scania Trainers can provide these personnel with a level of knowledge that will enable you reap benefits across your entire fleet.
Content:
The day starts with a two-three hour Classroom Presentation covering Daily Checks, ABS/EBS/ESP, Seat Belts, Seat Adjustment, Air Suspension, Traction Control, Diff Locks, Info Display Panel, Cruise Control, Correct use of Gearbox, Correct use of Engine Power and Torque, Cab and other safety related topics. The presentation is supported with DVD’s on ABS/ Safety and correct driving techniques. The hands-on part of the course includes a vehicle walk-round and demonstration of various items covered in the presentation. An on-road session will then follow to demonstrate and assist delegates in the correct use of the vehicle. On completion of the practical exercises a question and answer session will take place back in the classroom. Should you require training material, DVD’s etc, these can be obtained via the trainer. Course materials are provided and a certificate will be issued to the individuals concerned.
