SOLTER, 2005 / 2006 Pinot Cuvée Brut, Rheingau
Solter’s lightly sparkling mousseux is a blend of 50 per cent Pinot Noir, 30 per cent Pinot Blanc and 20 per cent Pinot Gris. On the yeast for years, this wine was fermented in oak barrels. It has fresh flavours of ripe apple, pear and grapefruit. On the nose it delivers yeast and citrus notes, with a creamy influence. Deliciously decadent, this Brut is the perfect partner for appetisers, and marries well with rich main courses. £46.05 per bottle
Schloss Reinhartshausen’s brilliant Riesling Sekt is perfect testament to the multi-faceted character of the Marcobrunn vineyard’s terroir. This slightly sloping, southerly facing site has soil heavy with loess loam, chalk and sandstone. This is a sparkling wine to fall in love with; it expresses a pure lust for life. £22.20 per bottle
KOCHAN & PLATZ, 2018 Riesling Sekt Brut, Mosel
Get fresh and fruity with this sparkling Sekt and its citrus, peach and apricot flavours. Deliciously different, this charming wine has a very fine perlage, fruity notes and animated acidity.
