CORE CONNECT Technology

Designed to ensure a perfect wrap of the cuff and the shell. “OVERLAP CLOSURE Technology” allows the correct movement of the ankle and creates a direct power transmission to the skis. The front of the cuff is separated into two area, between the cuff buckle, for an uniform and precise closure of the tibial area. Differentiated thickness and oblique profile on the bottom guarantees the correct wrapping of the forefoot without any point of pressure.

FREEDOM SL by SCARPA® combines performance, lightness and a 27° range of motion to give you the best performance in downhill and a comfortable walking during the way up. The cuff and the shell are made in Pebax® Rnew, 100% organic renewable material that keeps a good elasticity even at low temperatures. FREEDOM SL is built with the Carbon Core Technology: an over-injected carbon insert on the shell sole to stiffen the boot and reduce the anti-torsion effect. Moreover, it improves the transmission of power to the ski throughout the length of the boot shell. The sole is interchangeable (MOUNTAIN PLUS SCARPA® SOLE/MOUNTAIN PISTE SCARPA® SOLE) and by default it is compatible with different kind of bindings (AT/TLT/FR).

FREEDOM is the freeride model by SCARPA®, the cuff and the shell are built with Primary HP Polymers, a light but stiff plastic material. THRILL and EUPHORIA are the three-buckles models of SCARPA® collection for people approaching the ski touring discipline. The Axial Alpine Technology enhances precision and stability and allows a correct impulse transmission to the ski, even on steep slopes and increases the sensitivity on the middle foot-area. skitrab tr2 bindings The TR2 is the new grantour binding, weighting just 580g (including the ski stopper) it has some revolutionary new features: the lateral release at the tip with a DIN setting of up to 13 allows the skier to lock the heel of the boot to the ski as with alpine race skis, allowing excellent sensitivity and perfect control of the ski. The wide binding plate at the tip (75mm) gives perfect control even on wider skis, while the reduced distance between the boot and the snow means more controlled motion while skiing. This innovative design was developed in collaboration with SCARPA®, who offer a boot especially for the TR2: Spirit TR2.

Maximum control The features of the TR2 binding allow excellent ski control, with the boot locked onto the ski, short binding plates which maintain the natural flex of the ski, minimal distance between the boot and the ski: Control means safety!

MIRAGE PRO SKI-WALK SYSTEM The new ski/walk mechanism allows the cuff to be locked/released providing stiffness for downhill control and walking comfort, two locked positions available.

EVO V-FRAME The particular design “EVO V-FRAME” of the cuff stiffens the rear part, by increasing the transmission of force in the movement of forward flexion of the leg. PREDATOR RS STRAP The closing band of the instep is equipped with a toothing which allows a dedicated micrometric adjustment, and abuts on a specific seat in the tooth. This allows a progressive closure and an excellent lateral support, allowing a better distribution of the forces of thrust of the boot on the ski.

AIR VENTILATION The design of the cuff, where a series of holes are covered with a membrane to increase breathability, keeping the foot dry and ventilated at all times.

This system consists of a light alloy lever “A-Light”, a dynema string attached to the front rack (also made of a light alloy material), and two plastic passers-by on the sides of the cuff, that allow a perfect sliding whitout adding too much weight. The aim is to have different levels of elasticity and consistency in deifferent parts of the shell, based on the function they have to fulfil. The TRI-injection on the T2 ECO involves the bellow, the torsion bar and the shell.
