Begin your exploration of beautiful South Australia at its bustling capital city, and undertake a gourmet tour of Adelaide’s many fantastic restaurants and markets. From food lovers to wildlife enthusiasts, you’ll find an experience that fuels your passion in this compact city. In Barossa Valley, the state’s famous wine region, spend time strolling through its award-winning vineyards and tasting premium Australian wines. Don’t forget to taste vintage port dating back to your birth year. In Kangaroo Island, you’ll be amazed to discover a land teeming with vibrant wildlife and dramatic scenery. From koalas and fur seals to some of nature’s finest works of art – the Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch, there’s plenty to delight the naturalist in you.

Day 1 Adelaide

Welcome to Adelaide, South Australia’s capital, renowned for its gourmet delights and thriving culture. From the airport, you will be transferred to the Intercontinental Hotel or similar, your home for the next three nights. Enjoy a welcome dinner to celebrate the wonders of Australia’s southernmost state with your new friends.

Day 2

Barossa Valley

Today travel to one of Australia’s oldest wine producing regions, Barossa Valley. Spend the day discovering the Barossa Valley’s famous drop. Visit Maggie Beers Farm shop and pick up some cooking tips during a cooking demonstration. Appreciate the chance to try port from the year of your birth at Seppeltsfield before lunch, and then take a vineyard tour of the award-winning Jacob’s Creek Winery before returning to Adelaide.

Freechoice: Today, discover the history and culture of Adelaide on a walking tour or taste your way through the Adelaide Central Markets. Alternatively, take an Adelaide city sights tour including a cruise along the Torrens River or a visit to the Adelaide Zoo.

Day 4

Adelaide > Kangaroo Island es

Journey south today to the Fleurieu Peninsula where rolling hills are complemented by rugged, clifftops and sandy beaches. We’ll stop in McLaren Vale where we will visit the d’Arenberg Cube, a five storey contemporary glass structure that almost appears to be floating among the vineyards.

Meet the winemakers at Gemtree Wines who were the worldwide winner of Sustainable Wine Tourism Practices in 2019. Discover through an interactive experience all about biodynamic viticulture and finish your visit with a taste of locally sourced snacks.

Sample premium wine and capture the sunlight bouncing off the many façades of the building on your camera, before your ferry ride to Kangaroo Island.

Your accommodation here will be at Seafront Hotel for the next three nights.

Be inspired by the scenery today at Flinders Chase National Park. Behold the powerful forces of nature at Admirals Arch, a stunning

Admirals Arch, Kangaroo Island natural rock arc formed by lashing waves. Take a frame-worthy photograph at Remarkable Rocks, spectacular naturally formed granite sculptures shaped over 500 years of erosion. A special encounter awaits at Seal Bay, home to the third largest sea lion colony in Australia, where you’ll meet your conservation guide for a walk among the seals. If you are quiet you might even hear them talking. Tonight’s dinner will showcase Kangaroo Island local produce.

Tantalise your taste buds as your local epicurean guide introduces you to the magnificent tastes of Kangaroo Island, which have helped to make it famous - gourmet cheese, honey and gin.

Day 7 Kangaroo Island > Adelaide t

Your ferry trip will bring you back to the mainland. Visit the charming seaside of Victor Harbor. Continue on to Glenelg, a beachside suburb of Adelaide, where you will enjoy a Special Stay at the Stamford Grand Hotel with a chance to reflect on your adventures over a farewell dinner.
