Day 03 Libourne > Fort Médoc

Freechoice: Enjoy a guided tour of Libourne and view its quaint 16th century town-houses and Gothic church, or view the eclectic city of Bergerac. Alternatively, explore the estate of Château Siaurac with a wine tasting, or join a cycling tour through the region to the estate.

Day 04 Médoc

Freechoice: Travel the Médoc wine route and sample the region’s finest wine at a local estate. Alternatively, cycle through the region to a grand château where you will enjoy a tasting of delicious wine.

Enrich: Set in spectacular surroundings, Château d’Agassac is truly enchanting and is the venue for your unforgettable evening concert. Soak in the ambience of this magnificent property as live musicians perform classical masterpieces for your exclusive enjoyment.

Day 05 Pauillac > Cadillac

Soak in the vistas as you cruise past the picturesque landscapes of the Garonne River into Cadillac. While on board, you may choose to hone your cooking skills with a lesson in Scenic Culinaire.

Day 06 Cadillac

Freechoice: Venture into the Sauternes region for a delicious wine tasting at Château de Rayne Vigneau, or cycle through the vineyards to the Grand Cru Classé estate of Lafaurie Peyraguey for a tasting.

Freechoice: This afternoon, visit Roquetaillade Castle; it’s one of the region’s most impressive historic sites. Alternatively, visit a truffle farm and sample the delicious delicacy, or perhaps enjoy a visit to Château Malrome, the family home of artist Toulouse Lautrec.

Day 07 Bordeaux

Freechoice: Shop with a Chef at a local food market and cook up a storm in Scenic Culinaire. Alternatively, enjoy a guided tour of Bordeaux, or if you’re feeling more active, you may choose to cycle the historic parts of the city. Back on board your Cruise Director will organize a treat for you, with a tasting of fresh oysters straight from the waters of Arcachon Bay.

Enrich: During afterhours access you will be welcomed with a glass of Champagne and treated to an exclusive show at Bassins de Lumières, Bordeaux’s former submarine base which has been transformed into an impressive digital art installation.

Day 08 Bordeaux > Arcachon > Bourg

Day 09 Cognac

Day 02 Les Andelys

Freechoice: Join a hike with a difference and visit King Richard the Lionheart’s Château Gaillard, or journey to Lyons la Forêt, one of the most beautiful villages of France, and visit a local farm to sample cider, the region’s specialty. Alternatively, join a walking tour or cycling tour of the beautiful village of Les Andelys.

Day 03 Rouen

Freechoice: Enjoy a guided tour of Rouen or learn about the Viking Warlord Rollo ‘the Walker’, who will host a guided walking tour.

This afternoon you’ll gain fascinating insights into the Somme battlefields and learn about what life was like for a soldier during WWI during an informative lecture. After dinner, a local pâtissier will tantalise your taste buds with a selection of their finest desserts.

Day 04 Rouen

Freechoice: Get a glimpse of what the Somme battlefields might have been like for those caught up in this terrible World War I battle.

You may choose to visit the Australian National Memorial as well as the Caterpillar Valley Memorial, dedicated to the New Zealand citizens who perished during the Battle of the Somme or, you may choose to visit the Lochnagar Crater, the Newfoundland memorial park and the Thiepval memorial. Alternatively, stay in Rouen and explore the collection of impressionist paintings at the Museum of Fine Arts.

Day 05 Rouen > Honfleur

Relax on board this morning as you cruise toward the open waters of the English Channel. Freechoice: Explore Honfleur on a guided walking tour or visit charming Normandy villages and discover traditional Cheeses and Calvados.

Day 06 Honfleur
