Hours of Operation Membership

The Senior Center is open to new guests and members over the age of 55. Membership dues are $36.00 per year ($3 per month) and include ALL of the following activities plus many more:

Monday – Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Bingo

Bingo is hosted every Monday and Wednesday, as well as the first Friday of each month, at 12:30 p.m.

Volunteers needed for the Front Desk Committee, Kitchen Committee, and/or Decorating Committee

Craft Shows

The Schertz Area Senior Center is owned by the City of Schertz and managed through a public facility license agreement with the Schertz Family YMCA.

Free Lunch Program

The City of Schertz offers a free lunch program at the Center Monday – Friday from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (excluding city holidays.) Call the Schertz Area Senior Center for more information at (210) 619-1970.

Golden Gardening

Join the Senior Center to participate in the Golden Gardening class that meets every Thursday at 11 a.m. to learn the basics of fruit and vegetable gardening. Participants use the container gardening and raised bed method so it’s easy for people of all abilities to participate.
