Membership

The Senior Center is open to new guests and members over the age of 50. Memberships dues are $36.00 per year and include ALL of the following activities plus more:

Monday – Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Bingo

Bingo is hosted every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 12:30 p.m.

Volunteer Program

Volunteers needed for the Front Desk Committee, Kitchen Committee and/or Decorating Committee

The Schertz Area Senior Center is owned by the City of Schertz and managed through a public facility license agreement with the Schertz Family YMCA.

Free Lunch Program

The City of Schertz offers a free lunch program at the Center Monday – Friday from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (excluding city holidays). Call the Schertz Area Senior Center for more information at (210) 619-1970.

Golden Gardening

Join the Senior Center to participate in the Golden Gardening class that meets every Thursday at 1:30 p.m. to learn the basics of fruit and vegetable gardening. Participants use the container gardening and raised bed method so it’s easy for people of all abilities to participate.
